Nick walked over to Terry's desk as he handed the twenty seven files that were completed with filing work in over an hour. "That's 19. Our new high count." he spoke with a smile while the Sergeant did a small victory fist bump to himself.
"That's great. We'll be done with the next remaining files within the end of the shift." Terry said. "Yeah. Uh, have you seen Sam?" Nick asked.
"What do you mean?" Terry asked 'innocently'. "She's not at her desk or anywhere in the precinct."
"Oh, must be her Maid of Honor duties. Don't worry about that. She'll be fine." the Sergeant assured.
"She was done with those two weeks prior and the wedding's within a week. I don't thin it's that. I'm worried." Nick said.
"Don't think much about that!" Terry exclaimed at him. "I mean to say, her work must important, don't worry about that. She'll be back soon." Terry tried at convincing the detective.
"Alright..." Nick said unsurely, knowing something was up with Jeffords all day long. He walked over to the copier room and found Gina on her way out.
"Hey, Gina. Do you know what's up with Terry and the Captain today?" he asked her. "I know, right? Like something's really sketchy going up with them." she replied.
"Hmm, I gotta find it out." she said before handing all the freshly printed pages into Nick's hands and leave.
"You forgot your papers!" he called out after for her.

Sam walked in with a slump and her jacket in one hand as she dropped into the break room couch, not acknowledging Scully and Hitchcock by the vending machine.
"Hey Sam." Scully greeted and she waved back to him with no energy in her at all. "You look tired, Samantha." Hitchcock said absentmindedly, earning a glare from the woman.
"Right, I'll leave." he said quickly and walked out of the room. "I'll get Nick." Scully said following after his friend.
Nick soon walked in hurriedly only to find Sam dropped face flat on the couch. "You were gone for three hours. Where were you? I looked for you all over the building." he complained.
"I was gone to check for my coffee maker at the delivery center in Lenox Hill." she started explaining as she sat up in the couch.
"Turns out it's not even yet in New York! Then I forgot that I didn't even bring my bike with me. Like I ran over there for a goddamn hour. TWICE! So its two hours of running! That stupid prank call!" Sam ranted out angrily while she threw her boots into the room in frustration.
"Wait wait, wait a second. You went to Lenox Hill, on foot, only to check on the coffee maker you had ordered yesterday morning?!" he said.
"It's worth 12,000 dollars! Yes! The coffee maker I ordered yester- oh my God. I'm an idiot. I should've known it wouldn't come in a day. Oh, kill me already." she said as she threw herself onto the couch again.
"It's fine, Sam. It happens to all." Nick tried to console her. "But I fell for it! I am supposed to be a detective." she threw her hands over her face and sighed heavily.
Nick felt bad anytime she would get upset with herself. To him, Sam was the most perfect person he had ever met and with her self doubting herself, he felt bad.
"Come on, we'll get something for you to eat. It's lunch time." he said extending out his hand for her to grab.
The woman sighed out and grabbed his hand. Nick quickly pulled her up from the couch making her crash a bit into his chest, making Sam get flushed red in her cheeks.
