Nick was talking over with Terry at the Sergeant's desk while Sam was discussing a case filing issue with a uniformed officer when Captain Holt walked out of his office. "Oh, hey, Captain. Did you get my report on the Finley murder?" Jake asked from his desk.
"Yeah, I looked it over. Nice work." Holt complimented. "Good. Thanks, dad." the detective said which everybody heard and stopped all their work in hand to look at Jake.
"Why is everyone staring at me?" he asked confused. "You just called Captain Holt "dad"." Sam replied.
"You said, "thanks, dad"." Rosa said. "What? No, I didn't. I said, "thanks, man"." Jake defended.
"Do you see me as a father figure, Peralta?" Holt asked sincerely. "No. If anything, I see you as a "bother" figure, 'cause you're always bothering me." he joked.
"Hey, show your father some respect." Terry scolded as he got up from his seat. "I didn't call him "dad"." he still denied it.
"No, no, no, no, Jacob. I take it as a compliment." Holt said softly. "It's not a big deal. I called Vivian "mom" once, and she's my fiancée." Charles defended his friend.
"Guys, jump on that! Boyle has psycho-sexual issues." Jake said to take off the attention from him. "Old news. But you calling Holt "daddy"-" Amy teased.
"Hey, "daddy" is not on the table here." Jake warned. "You did call him that, man." Nick said.
"I did not!" he defended yet. "But you did call him "dad," dude." the perp at Jake's desk said.
"You shut up. You've done nothing but lie since you got here." Jake brushed him off. "All right, all right, I was lying about the holdup. But the dad thing, that happened." the perp admitted.
"Aha! He admitted that his alibi was a lie. It was a trap, all part of my crazy, devious plan." Jake said trying his best at convincing them all about that.
"I believe you. Son." Holt said earning a small grunt from Peralta. "Do you want to talk about it later over a game of catch?" he proposed. "I'd like that." Jake agreed to it quickly.

The entire was sat in the briefing room on Saturday as Holt and Terry stood at the podium. "Thank you for coming in on your day off. I know you'd all rather be at home, binge watching media content." the Captain spoke.
"Oh! I just started the second season of media content. No spoilers." Jake said. "Eh, I'd rather watch the Game of Thrones." Nick said. "It is pretty good." Sam added in agreement as the two best friends shared a high five at that.
"But these evaluations are important." Holt continued. "Sir, I think I speak for all of us-" Amy said. "She doesn't." they all spoke at the same time.
"-when I say that we can't wait for you to sit in judgment of us." Santiago completed her sentence. "Oh, these will be self-evaluations, Santiago." Holt clarified for them all.
"Also, please stay out of the way of the weekend squad. They are on duty, and the bullpen is theirs." he added.
Rosa groaned. "I hate the weekend squad." Sam said with a grunt. "Detective Lohank shaves at my desk and gets hair all over my computer. My "R" key is jammed with stubble." Rosa complained.
"Well, that explains the email you sent about the 'guesome mude'." Sam joked.
"Dismissed." Holt announced.

Sam and Jake walked in together into Holt's office for their evaluation. "Yo." the older detective said. "Peralta and Cooper asked to be first, which shows how seriously they've begun taking their job." Terry said to the Captain.
