Where Does Life Take Us?

I see it now. The path I must take
As I walk, the bridge starts to brake
Where does life take us?
My identity, we must discuss

I see it again. This path of rain
As I walk, a mirror down the drain
Where is my reflection going?
My orientation, it goes without knowing

I will see it once more. The path I have walked
As I walk, a repetition I concoct
Where is the logic in this?
My senses, a task I remiss

I have seen it. The path I chose
As I walk, a flock of crows
Where are my wings?
My body, its missing it strings

Where does life take us? I wonder as I walk
Where do we want to go? I say as we talk
Where is life's clock? I ask around the block
My time, life must seem to stalk

My life, where does it take me now?
No matter. I accompany it anyhow
As I walk, I see the path that lies in lock
My mind, this mysterious roadblock

My heart, where does it beat down?
Inside, the path it must follow around
Where does life take it? If not home
My self, the cycle I must roam

Finding myself now and forever, where does life take me?
I met again, and now, I shall meet what it was meant to be
As I walk, I have known the path of life all along
My soul, where life takes me, is where I belong

Where does life take us? If not the path of perspective
I am a mechanical engineer. I am a crow detective
I am a human machine. Where my life is subjective
I am Aaron Faust. The man of infinite recollective
