Alana Finds Loki

Chapter 3

Inside the club, was very crowded and noisy. She wondered how Thor would ever hear her if she did need him. The young woman got on the comlink and told Thor, "I don't see him. Are you sure he's at this club?" Thor replied, "Yes, keep looking." Just then she sees Loki standing by the stage. She gets back on the comlink, "Thor, are you there?" Thor answered, "Yes, I'm here." She says, "I have spotted Loki. He's standing by the stage. I'm getting ready to go over there." Thor replies, "Be careful." She answers, "I will. Over and out." She made her way through the crowd of people to the stage. When she reached the stage, she saw that Loki had his arm around a bleach blonde floozy. She butted in on the conversation, "Are you Loki?" Loki turns around to see this beautiful auburn-haired woman standing there. Loki said, "Yes, beautiful, I'm Loki and who are you?" Before she had a chance to answer, the bleach blonde floozy tries to take a swing at her, but she quickly moves out of her way. She takes the floozy down by using her training as an Avenger. Loki sees this and tells the bleach blonde floozy to leave. "That's enough! You can just leave!" pointing to the bleach blonde floozy. The blonde leaves but not without taking a final swing at the young woman, who managed to sidestep her. Loki yells at the blonde, "I said to leave!" So, the blonde final leaves.

Loki then turns his attention to the young woman, "You are very skilled at protecting yourself." The young woman asks Loki, "Is there some place where we can talk alone?" Loki replies, "Of course, beautiful. Come with me." The other band members start to whoop and holler as Loki walks away with the young woman. Loki turned around and gave the guys a hard look and they shut up. Loki took the young woman to his dressing room. Once they were behind closed doors, Loki looks at the young woman and asks, "Ok, who are? Are you an Avenger because you sure as hell fight like one?" The young woman replies, "My name is Velvet." Loki looked at her inquisitively then said, "What's your real name NOT your code name." She looked at Loki with a questionable look and said, "What do you mean my real name? I told you already." Loki said, "No, you gave me your code name. I'm not stupid. So, stop playing games with me." She finally said, "Fine! My real name is Alana Barton." Loki asked, "Did you say Barton? Are you any kin to Clint Barton, Hawkeye?" Alana said, "Yes, he's my big brother." Loki replies, "I see now. So, the Avengers sent you here to talk to me. Why?" Alana replies, "Well, I'm not an Avenger at least not yet. I'm still in training." Loki looked at her with interest.
