As our vehicle crosses the border of Kingdom Feytoppia, bigla kong naramdaman ang pag-iba ng ihip ng hangin.
It feels weird. The air becomes eerie.
Something is off.
Mabilis ang pag-alalay ko kay Steff nang muntik na itong mahulog sa upuan dahil sa pag-uga ng karwahe. Mahimbing pa rin ang tulog nya at hindi man lang nagising.
"Steff..." I tried to poke her.
/wooooo!/
I become attentive as I hear the loud growl. The carraige momentarily stops. Inayos ko ang pagkakahiga ni Steff sa upuan. Hinawi ko ang kurtina sa unahan patungo sa nagmamaneho nitong karwahe.
"Manong, bakit po tayo tumigil?" I asked. I tried to calm myself even that sound sent shivers on me.
Hinay-hinay ang paglingon ni Manong sa akin. His pale face immediately reaches out to me. Something is definitely not right.
"Na-pa-pa-libu-tan po ta-yo." Nagkandautal-utal nitong pahayag.
I blink for how many times even snap my fingers... but it is true—we are surrounded. By who?

Another growl... but it is louder than before.
Hinawi ko ang kurtina sa gilid ko at natagpuan ko ang mga puting lobo. Mabilis kong nakilala kung anong uri ng nilalang ang mga 'to.
"Pack of moon wolves." I had read about these creatures—they were notorious and territorial. Aside from its sharp canines and paws that could easily devour you, they could wield wind slash that could cut a metal... this meant no good.
"Steff..." niyugyog ko sya hanggang sa magising sya. "Gising."
"Huh..." pungas-pungas ang mga mata. "What is it, Sned?"
"We are surrounded by a pack of moon wolves."
"Moon wolves... okay lang 'ya—" napaayos sya ng upo at taimtim akong tinitigan. "You say moon wolves?"
Tinanguan ko sya. I know Steff is intelligent, so she knows what I mean.
"What to do?! They'll going to attack us!" She panicked.
I sigh. We need to plan for a defense or better an escape plan. We cannot counterattack them otherwise we will die here.
"Manong, anong elemento ang kapangyarihan mo?" I immediately asked the chauffeur who was seemed still holding his breath.
"Ha–ngin, You–ng La–dy." That was good news!
"So, this is the plan..."
Ang naisip kong paraan para makatakas sa sitwasyong 'to ay ang lumipad kami. With Manong and Steff's wind power, they can able to fly us up. I will be securing the defense. But, there is a probability that this plan won't work, so we need to execute the plan meticulously.
"Kaya ba?" I asked them.
Napatango-tango si Manong na ngayon ay nasa loob na ng karwahe, at tila nabuhayan ng loob. Naging seryoso naman si Steff.
Nagsimula akong mag-concentrate to cast fire reflective shield. I try to put the pressure of my magic to the shield to make it sturdy. Hindi pa ako nakuntento, binalot ko pa ng brown fire ang buong shield to boost its effect.
Parang kailan lang noong hindi ko pa alam kung paano gamitin ang kapangyarihan ni Lady Sneddelline. It isn't a smooth road to begin with... but I am thankful to the people who have helped me along the way. Every sacrifices are worth it. I have lived to my promises to Lady Sneddelline.
