Charlie woke up early in the morning to train for the final battle. He was so nervous and was very worried that he will lose the fight. He lifted his chin into the deep orange sky and took deep breaths of air. It appears that all the other Pokémon were asleep, some of them snoring. He dashed into the forest and started practicing his non-fire moves, Dragon Breath and Slash on a tall rock nearby.

10 minutes had passed, and Charlie was startled by a sound in the bushes. He thought that he was perfectly alone. Suddenly, Sol the Pyroar, the principle of the Pokémon School jumped out of the bushes. His gaze met his. The rising sun was behind his streaked, red and yellow mane.

"Up early to train?" He asked Charlie.

"Yup!"

"That's very responsible of you. It shows that you are very determined to win the battle today."

"Yes, I want to prove my strength to Jack! And teach him to not pick on Fire Type Pokémon." Said Charlie effortlessly. "Wait a minute.... Why are you up so early to visit me?!"

"Oh, I'm here to teach you a move that will help you in your battle today!" Beamed Sol.

"I'm good. I already have Slash and Dragon Breath."

"Have you ever wished you can use your fire moves against a Water Power Pokémon to its full power? Show it off in a display between fire and water. Ever wanted to weaken the effect of water moves as well?"

Charlie's heart skipped a beat. "Yes, please! Tell me how to do that!"

"A move called Sunny Day. The Pokemon using it creates harsh sunlight, which creates unbearable heat, increases the power of Fire Type moves, and decrease the power of Water Type moves. The only counter that the move has, is Rainy Day, which luckily, I know Jack doesn't know. It is an advanced move, only taught in the final year of school, the year that your girlfriend, Leaf is in."

"Teach me how to do it!" Burst out Charlie.

"Ok. I'll tell you, and then you must watch me. You must fill your head with thoughts of the blazing sun. Imagine the fiery heat of it. You must not think of anything else. Then, you must power up every particles of your body of your determination for harsh sunlight to occur. Finally, you bring out that energy by opening your chest. "

"Sounds complex." Said Charlie, listening along the wise principle's words.

"Ok, now watch me." Said Sol. He set his paws, closed his eyes for a ten seconds. And then he opened his chest. The sun started scorching overhead, it's warm rays felt so good on Charlie's scales.

"Ok. Uhhh.... How are you going return the sun to normal so I can practice?"

"Oh, my friend should be here soon..."chuckled Sol nervously.

After five minutes waiting under the burning sun, a slimy dragon Pokemon appeared. His body was made entirely of goo, and he was light purple colored. His eyes were green and he had two curled antennas on his head.

"This is Baboso, the Goodra. He is a good friend of mine, and I went to school together with him. He will set a Rain Dances so you can set up Sunny Days over again to practice."

"Nice to meet you, Baboso." Said Charlie as he and the dragon Pokémon shook hands.

"You too." He took a breath and opened his slimy chest. Grey clouds suddenly appeared in the sky and they started pouring.

Each droplet was like icy hail plodding onto his scale. He had to bring the sun back quickly.

"Now, Charlie. Try to use the move!" Boomed Sol.
