Kate was standing in her grandmother's kitchen as everyone was outside greeting Clark and the boys, she wasn't too big on crowds so she was trying her best to avoid so many people. She had looked up from the baking book to see a boy around her age looking back at her,

"Baking, huh?" Marcus asked making her chuckle

"Stress," Kate responded in return

"And what are you making?" Marcus asked as he came beside her

"Kent Famous Oatmeal Cookies," Kate explained causing him to pause

"You're a Kent?" Marcus asked causing her to scoff

"Yeah, and you are?" Kate asked in return

"Marcus Cushing," Marcus introduced himself

"Kathryn Kent but everyone calls Kate," Kate introduced herself

"Katie," Marcus corrected in response

"Yeah, you call me that too if you want," Kate joked with the boy

"I'm gonna go outside with my sisters," Marcus stated before walking out

The boys had gotten hurt making Clark and Lois cut everything short so he could check up on his sons, later on in the day when the kids new they was alone they had decided to found out what thier dad was hiding from them.

"You really think Dad's hiding something from us?" Kate asked they walked

"We had all those poles land on us besides, how did he get them up off of us so fast, anyway?" Jordan questioned the boy beside him

"I don't know, adrenaline, maybe? Like a soccer mom lifting a car kind of thing," Jon suggested in a moderate voice

"Dad can't put up a Christmas tree without falling off the ladder and what's the thing he says every single time we come here?" Jordan questioned in return

"Don't put your finger in that? I don't know," Jon guessed in a confused matter

"Stay out of the barn, dumbass," Jordan deadpanned to his twins

"Jordan, what are we looking for, anyways?" Kate asked her brother

"Just something unusual, something out of place, get the flashlight, This is literally just an old cellar," Jordan stated as they walked in the cellar

"It's probably Grandpa's old tool storage or something, Jon?" Kate questioned watching her brother

"Did you see that? Did you see that? What the hell was that? What was that? Jordan, what was that?" Jon asked as they saw a pod

"Jordan, what are you doing?" Kate asked as he reached forward

"What the hell is that thing?" Jon asked looking at the crystal

"Whatever it is, It's not from Kansas," Jordan responded in return

"Let's just get out of here, Mom and Dad are home," Kate stated as she started to walk out

"So that's why? Why you never wanted us in the barn? 'Cause you keep a freakin' alien ship in there?" Jordan excaliend as he walked head

"Look, I can explain," Clark stated as the kids walked up to them

"Yeah, can you? Can you explain how I fell 30 feet and nothing happened?" Jordan asked in a tone

"Just give him time," Kate scolded her brother

"All you said is that we got lucky but that was a lie, wasn't it?" Jordan asked in a pointed manner

"Yes, okay? It was a lie, that ship brought me to Earth and it landed here in Smallville, right in those cornfields over there, I was sent here when my planet Krypton, was destroyed," Clark explained watching them

"Krypton?" Kate asked as she was confused

"Yes because I wasn't from here, I had certain powers, your grandparents, they took me in, they raised me and they taught me how to control my abilities, how to blend in until the day I was ready to leave and become who I was sent here to be," Clark added before scoffed

"You're saying you're Superman?" Jon asked in a soft tone

"No, I've seen Superman before, we've seen him," Jordan stated coming closer before Clark lefted up his truck and flew to show his kids

"When your father first told me, I didn't understand either," Lois spoke but was cutt off

"I understand all the excuses, all the times you were gone, you lied to us, you both did," Jordan scolded thier parents

"He was saving lives, Jordan," Lois defended her husband

"That doesn't make it less true, you lied to protect his secret. All the things I've been feeling and you made me think I was crazy, they put me on pills!" Jordan reminded the woman

"Your mental health has nothing to do with who you..." Lois trailled off

"And how do you know that? I'm half human, half whatever the hell he is!" Jorsan shouted at his mother

"Do not yell at your mother, okay? This is not her fault, I'm the one that didn't want you to know," Clark stated to his son

"Why?" Kate asked her father

"Because I knew what kind of burden it would be if you both had powers or worse, if one of you had them, and the other one didn't," Clark admitted to his kids

"You think he's the reason we survived yesterday," Jordan whispered to thier father

"What are you talking about?" Jon asked coming closer

"Go on, Dad, go tell Superboy here why he's really so perfect," Jordan remarked in anger

"We thought your athletic talents could be latent abilities starting to emerge, and then yesterday," Lois explained in a soft tone

"And the only way that both of you survived that accident is for at least one of you to be like me," Clark admitted to them

"You wouldn't have it any other way, would you, Dad?" Jordan asked the man

"Jordan!" Clark yelled after his son

"Don't try to talk to me, all right? You may have been sent here to be some hero, but you sure as hell weren't sent here to be a father so just leave us alone," Jordan stated before going inside

Kate gave her father a look before heading up to her room after the boys, she wasn't mad at her dad for keeping his secret to protect them from the burden. She loved her father, no matter what but she knew that it was a bit of a shock.
