Kate was feeling better about going to school since Marcus was talking to her again, Clark and Lois had come up with a deal with Jon to help him adjust better with the move. Sarah and Jordan had just decided to be friends for now and Marcus and Kate were just collecting their thoughts and feelings.

"Hey, Sweetheart," Marcus greeted as he came up to her

"Hi," Kate greeted the boy

"You look good today," Marcus spoke in a soft tone

"No, you can't just say things like that and then proceed to ignore me when something weird happens," Kate stated in return

"I don't know how to express my feelings but I do know that I wanna be with you," Marcus stated while pushing a piece of her hair back

"Don't just say that because you think that I wanna hear it," Kate deadpanned in response

"What must I do to convince you that I wanna be with you?" Marcus asked with a raised eyebrow

"Take me out on a date, tonight," Kate spoke with a soft smile

"Is the diner okay because if not we can go to the arcade or something," Marcus suggested to the blonde

"Yes, the diner is okay," Kate added before kissing his cheek and walking off

Marcus drew in a breath before heading to his last class, the day and night had seemed to pass in a flash seeing how Kate was standing in her bedroom looking through different top options when her mother came into the room.

"How is it going in here?" Lois asked with a soft smile

"I can't find the right top to go with these shoes," Kate ranted not looking away

"That top looks nice," Lois spoke before Kate shook her head

"I'm wearing black jeans, yellow and black don't look good on me," Kate deadpanned to her mother

"Well, wear the blue top, it brings out your eye color," Lois added making Kate chuckle

"That's what he said," Kate admitted in response

"Well, he's smart for knowing how beautiful you are," Clark stated as he came in

"He's going to be here in five minutes and I don't want you or the boys embarrassing me or giving him a look in any way," Kate rambled to her father

"They won't scare him off and they won't embarrass you," Lois explained in response

"Good but I need you two to get out so I can finish getting ready," Kate stated to her parents

Clark and Lois shared a look before leaving the room, within the next half hour they were sitting in a booth at the diner. Kate had got her normal order of fries, chicken sandwich, and water whereas Marcus got a coke and a burger to eat.

"I've got to admit that this is my first date ever," Marcus stated causing her to scoff

"Are you serious?" Kate asked in return

"Yeah, I was never interested in anyone before," Marcus admitted to the blonde

"Well, I'm glad that you decided to give us a chance," Kate spoke in a soft tone

"I'm glad that I did too," Marcus added with a smile

"Jon and Jordan are going to be so cocky tomorrow," Kate commented once she ate a fry

"And why's that?" Marcus questioned in return

"Jon was asking me a ton of questions about our 'friendship' or whatever we have going on," Kate explained to the boy

"Oh, so you were talking about me?" Marcus remarked making her roll her eyes

"Don't start being cocky now," Kate scolded to remark

"Don't start scolding me now," Marcus shot back

"Fair is fair," Kate remarked with a smirk

"I told you that history always repeats itself," Marcus stated to the blonde

"I hope so," Kate responded with a soft smile

"We should get us a milkshake since they had just got their machine up and running last night," Marcus suggested to the blonde

"Okay but separate ones because I can't do that cringy sharing thing," Kate countered making him chuckle

"Yeah, this isn't the movies or a book," Marcus agreed with his date

Kate had ordered a banana milkshake and it was safe to say that she liked it, Marcus had taken her home shortly after they had gotten done. The twins had tried to question her about the date but she had shut down any and all interactions about it since she wanted to keep it between her and him for now.
