They had decided to finally pick out a paint color for the living room as they had been busy and putting it off, They were all standing around looking at the testers on the wall, they had all got to pick out a color they each liked.

"Does this have too much blue in it?" Lois asked after she painted a streak

"I still like the Huntsman's Tribute," Clark commented to his wife

"Dad, I'm pretty sure that's just slang for poop," Jon remarked to his father

"Hey," Clark spoke in a hurt tone

"Jonathan, don't be gross also, he's not wrong," Lois stated to her husband

"Mom, can we just pick something?" Kate asked out of boredom

"Sweetie, this is an important decision, we're finally putting our own stamp on this house," Lois stated to her kids

"If you'd make up your mind," Jordan whined in response

"What about this color? Do you like this color?" Lois asked picking up a paintbrush

"Yeah, it's fine," Jon responded to his mother

"Yeah?" Lois asked in response before painting Jon's shirt

"Yeah, someone is just asking for the Huntsman's Tribute," Jon remarked chasing her

"Anything but Dad's color!" Lois shouted to her son

"Oh, come on! Do you really want to do this?" Clark asked looking at Jordan

"No super tricks," Jordan stated to his father

"You have to do better than that! Get him, Kate," Clark stated at his daughter in return

"I think the green matches your eyes better," Kate mocked picking up a new paintbrush

"Okay, you're done, that's it, that's it!" Clark shouted before pausing

"Clark? Guess there's no reason to hide it now that you all know he's Superman," Lois spoke with a sigh

Kate shook her head with a chuckle and then went to go get cleaned up for school, she knew that her dad was busy being Superman but it still sucked that he wasn't able to be a hundred percent present in every moment.

"What are you thinking about, Sweetheart?" Marcus asked as he walked up to her

"Why do you always come up to me when it's clear that I don't wanna talk to you?" Kate questioned in return

"So you were thinking of me?" Marcus stated with a smirk

"Don't flatter yourself," Kate scolded the boy

"There you go with that scolding, again," Marcus pointed out to the blonde

"Mhm," Kate hummed in response

"You have pretty eyes," Marcus commented in return

"And you are dumb if you think that line is going to work on me," Kate called out to the boy

"You have a little paint, right here," Marcus whispered touching her cheek and causing her to look at him

"Thank you," Kate whispered in response

"Blue's your color," Marcus added before walking away

After school, Clark took the three out to eat to spend time and to make up for being so busy all the time. Kate had gotten a chicken sandwich with fries and water to drink, she had decided that she wanted to get back into a healthy eating habit.

"Is everything okay with Lana?" Clark asked his kids

"Not really, she just went all scorched earth on Sarah at practice today," Kate explained to her father

"Oh, well, your mom's working late, so it's just us so anything exciting happen in school today?" Clark asked between the three

"Football practice was pretty interesting, Jonathan got a couple of good reps in, I think Coach is starting to take notice," Jordan spoke looking at his twin

"Yeah, there's just a little more to it than that, but..." Jon trailed off in thought

"That's great, let's celebrate with some chili cheese fries," Clark stated calling over the waitress

"We should get some ranch to go with those," Kate suggested making the boys groan

"You are the only one who eats that nasty combo," Jon remarked looking at her

"Hey, if your sister wants ranch with the fries then we'll get some ranch to go with her fries," Clark stated to his sons

Kate looked over at her brothers with a smirk before dipping her fry into the ranch, a little later they had gone home. Kate had heard her brother fighting over football and the stunt that Jordan had pulled at school but she didn't want to get involved with thier drama since she was trying to focus on her homework.

"Hey," Kate spoke as she knocked on Jon's door

"Hey, everything okay?" Jon asked looking up at her

"I should be asking you that, are you okay?" Kate asked as she sat down

"Yeah, I just don't understand," Jon admitted in return

"Yes, football is your thing but think of how much change has come for him in a good way," Kate reminded her brother

"You got a point but it still hurts," Jon added in defense

"You love football so of course it's going to hurt to see him fitting in way more fast than you were," Kate commented with a sigh

"Let's talk about you and Marcus and what's going on there," Jon stated making her groan

"Nothing is going on but he told me that blue was my color and that I had pretty eyes," Kate admitted in a soft tone

"Not to mention all that eye contact that Jordan and I saw," Jon added with a smirk

"He was cleaning some leftover paint from my cheek," Kate defended herself

"Are you starting to get feelings?" Jon asked making her sigh

"I don't know but for some reason, I look forward to him bugging me every day at school," Kate admitted to her brother

Jon smiled with a knowing look before handing her a controller for them to play Xbox, she didn't know her feelings but she did enjoy arguing back and forth with him. She pulled Jon's softer blanket over her legs as they played Call Of Duty together.
