Jordan's superhearing had kicked in so he wasn't going to school until they could help him learn how to control it and block out the sounds and voices. Jon and Kate were walking down the halls at school.

"Yo, Cushing, I didn't see you at lunch today so is everything all right?" Jon asked as they walked up to her

"Maybe you should tell me, why isn't Jordan at school today?" Sarah questioned the two

"Uh, I mean, he's not really feeling well," Kate responded to the girl

"Hey, what's going on?" Jon asked making her sigh

"You're lying to me," Sarah scolded the boy

"About Jordan being sick?" Kate questioned in confusion

"You know what happened last night with Tag, and you're acting as though Jordan not coming to school is kinda weird," Sarah commented in return

"Well, yeah, we know what happened with Tag, and I'm sorry, it's really messed up, but Jordan had nothing to do with that," Kate stated to her friend

"That's not what Tag said," Sarah remarked making Jon roll his eyes

"What? 'Cause of some stupid video? Did you even watch it? Seriously, look, I mean, there's absolutely no way that Jordan gave Tag powers or whatever and also, truth be told, the reason that Jordan's not at school is because Tag jumped him the other day and it totally messed him up, and now he's having these terrible headaches," Jon covered for his twin

"That's why he had bruises on his face, why didn't he just tell me?" Sarah asked as she was confused

"I don't know. I guess he didn't want you to worry, he's not such a bad guy and also, yeah, I broke my wrist. Thanks for asking. It really sucks," Jon remarked before they walked off

Jon was still upset about his arm and how he wouldn't be able to play football for a while, Kate felt bad since she knew how much he loved to play and it was taken away from him. Jon had his head hung low as they walked to their lockers, Kate sighed at her brother with a soft look written on her face.

"Is your arm feeling any better with the medicine?" Kate asked her brother

"Still the same," Jon responded in a moderate tone

"Time will tell," Kate commented with a short smile

"You know, we all saw this coming," Jon commented looking at the Cushing boy

"Don't start with the I told you so," Kate pleaded with her brother

"Fine but I did tell you so," Jon remarked causing her to roll her eyes

"Yeah, right," Kate mumbled in response

"Stop worrying, he cares about you," Jon comforted his sister

"I know he does," Kate whispered while looking at the boy

"Aren't you going to go talk to him?" Jon asked in return

"After cheer practice," Kate explained before walking off

Jon sighed as he watched her walk into the women's locker room, Kate just needed some time to herself. She loved that she and Marcus were something but she hated that it was still unofficial, she knew that she was asking for so much as it was all new to them but she wanted to learn with him by her side.

"Hey, sweetheart," Marcus greeted as he came up to her

"Hey, Mas," Kate greeted back to the boy

"So, you and my sister got into a fight," Marcus commented causing her to scoff

"It wasn't a fight, it was just a disagreement about something and Jordan," Kate corrected him

"I wasn't scolding or accusing you," Marcus defended his words

"Sorry, things are just crazy right now at home," Kate responded with a soft smile

"Wanna talk about it?" Marcus asked with concern

"Not really," Kate deadpanned to him

"Well, whenever you wanna talk, I'm here," Marcus reminded the blonde

"I know, it's just that Sarah and Jordan don't understand about somethings," Kate admitted looking at him

"Yeah, my sister can be difficult to explain things to," Marcus joked, trying to lighten the mood

"Same with Jordan," Kate added in agreement

Kate smiled at the boy who was attempting to cheer her up, it was working. The school bell rang making them realize that school was over and started to head home. Jon and Jordan had gotten there in time to save their dad from the mystery man which Lois and Kate were both thankful for

"Which was incredibly reckless and dangerous and irresponsible and absolutely necessary. You both saved my life tonight, so I think I owe you a pretty big thank-you," Clark stated as they came into the room

"Listen, we know that you three must have a lot of questions about what's been going on around here," Lois spoke in a soft tone

"Look, we've taught you not to keep secrets from us," Clark started before looking at his wife

"So we're not gonna keep secrets from you anymore," Lois added in return

"Isn't most of that stuff, like, like, classified though?" Kate asked while narrowing her eyes

"Yes, which is why none of what we tell you can ever leave this house, is that understood?" Lois asked the kids

"Definitely, yeah," Jon agreed while Jordan nodded

"Naturally," Kate responded to her parents

"All right, who wants to go first?" Lois questioned with a sigh

"What was that deal with the guy tonight?" Jordan asked looking at them

Thier questions were answered making them all relieved that their parents were finally including them in the topic. Kate went to bed soon after as that day had been tiring for her and the boys.
