Clark and Lois were working so they left the kids by themselves but Kate had already planned to go meet up with Marcus to hang out. Sarah was out with friends and Lana was dealing with mayor stuff so it was just them inside the house.

"How are you feeling? Are you okay?" Marcus asked as she laid on his chest

"I'm okay, are you?" Kate questioned in return

"I'm more worried about you but if you say you are okay then I'm okay," Marcus explained looking down at her

"Such a gentlemen," Kate joked with a chuckle

"Always," Marucs spoke before kissing her forehead

"I'm kinda hungry," Kate spoke making him chuckle

"Mom said the diner has come out with a seasonal drink and donuts," Marcus suggested to the blonde

"I hate to be that person but can we go?" Kate questioned looking at him

"Let's go," Marcus spoke as he sat up

"This is why I love you," Kate remarked to the boy

"Because I feed you?" Marcus asked before she nodded

"Yep, I'm a growing girl and I need my carbs," Kate joked earning an eye roll

"Mhm, I love you, too," Marcus spoke before kissing her

Kate pulled away before heading to the bathroom they headed to the diner to grab something to eat, the boy's birthday was tomorrow so they were trying to get everything set up before the party. Later on in the day, Kate was sitting on the porch helping Jon study for his driver's test that was coming up.

"Where have you been?" Kate asked as Jordan flew in

"You know, just flying around, Sarah's being Sarah, and Dad's all mad at me," Jordan explained to the two

"Yeah, he's had that weird look on his face all afternoon, what'd you do?" Jon questioned his twin

"Tried to stop a construction crane from falling off a high-rise in Kuala Lumpur and Dad said I made it worse," Jordan explained causing them to chuckle

"Did you?" Jon questioned with a look

"I was just trying to help," Jordan defended himself

"I get it but you know, if you can't yet, maybe just leave that stuff to him until you can. I mean, he's been Superman a long time," Kate pointed out to her brother

"Why are you still studying?" Jordan asked pointing to the book

"Gotta pass this test, man, I know you returned your truck and that driving means nothing to you anymore but this is my freedom," Jon explained with a sigh

"Are you nervous?" Kate questioned looking at him

"You know, I wasn't until I practiced with Mom today and she nitpicks everything," Jon commented before they nodded

"Yeah, it's annoying but I mean, is she right? I mean, if driving really does mean everything you say it does, maybe you should listen to her? She has been driving for a long time, I'm no Mom, but if you wanna practice some of the things she thinks you need to work on, I'm game," Jordan stated before holding his hand out

"Let's go," Jon agreed with the man

"All right," Kate cheered with her brothers

"I can't promise you you're not gonna die though, so..." Jon remarked to the two

The Kent Siblings went for a drive which went better than Kate thought it would, They got home around eight where Kate had gone got ready for bed, and fell asleep. The next thing Kate knew was she was sitting in the barn watching the slideshow their parents had made for the boy's party.

"Happy birthday," Marcus greeted as he came up to the group

"Thank you, Bud," Jon spoke with a smile

"So, we kinda stole your idea and split donuts and cupcakes down the middle," Jordan joked with the boy

"It was all your sister's idea, actually," Marcus corrected the boys

"Yeah, so give me some credit," Kate joked with them k

"You can't bully us with it being our party," Jon scolded their sister

"Ha Ha," Kate mocked to the boy

The Kent's greeted everyone goodbye before going inside for the night, The boys had a good birthday and everything was okay. Kate, Jon, and Jordan stayed up most of the night playing COD since Lois and Clark had decided to let them stay up for the boy's birthday.
