Clark had gone with Edge to protect his family; they were missing and worrying about him. Lois had called John for some help and insight about what would happen next with Clark and Superman. Kate was staring off into space as she stood at her locker when she saw Marcus approaching her.

"Hey, sweetheart," Marcus greeted before giving her a soft peck

"Why is everyone glaring at you?" Kate asked as she looked up to Marcus

"People in this town blame my family for Edge coming to town and everything that happened," Marcus explained to his girlfriend

"And why aren't blaming him since he was the one who did it, I mean he was going to come here no matter what your parents said," Kate defended to the boy

"I love that you care so much about what people think of my family," Marcus admitted looking at her

"Well, they shouldn't be so quick to judge people," Kate added causing him to chuckle

"Okay, there firecracker," Marcus joked holding her shoulders

"Okay, moving on," Kate spoke in a calm tone

"How's that case in Metropolis going for your dad?" Marcus asked making her sigh

"We haven't talked to him much since he was busy with work and everything but I hope he and everything are going okay," Kate explained in a whisper

"I'm sure that he's okay and just caught up with work," Marcus added trying to comfort her

"Speaking of dads, how is yours?" Kate questioned with concern

"He's adjusting," Marcus responded in a calm voice

"And how are you and Sarah doing?" Kate questioned once again

"We're better than we were yesterday," Marcus spoke causing her to nod

Kate decided not to press the issue anymore since she could tell that he didn't fully understand it yet, Kate and Jon were with Jordan trying to get him to focus enough so he could hear their dad.

"How far can you hear?" Jon asked as Jordan paused

"Oh, I don't know, somewhere in Australia?" Jordan explained in confusion

"Australia?" Kate asked in shock

"Or New Zealand. I can't tell the accents apart but regardless, it doesn't matter. I couldn't hear Dad," Jordan explained some more

"Okay, well, I mean, what if he just wasn't saying something and you scanned over him or..." Jon suggested once again

"Jon, I don't know and that's what I've been saying, I just got this power good enough that I'm not having a migraine every two seconds, this isn't gonna work," Jordan scolded the boy

"Just try again," Kate stated looking at him

"We've been at this for an hour, and I don't even know what I'm hearing half the time," Jordan argued to his siblings

"Look, I know it's hard, but right now, you are the only one who can find him," Jon stated with a sigh

"Yeah, but what if I can't? What if I keep trying and trying, and my powers just aren't good enough?" Jordan asked with worry

"Jordan, you're good enough," Jon encouraged his twin

"Really? 'Cause that didn't stop Edge and when I used my heat vision on him, I gave everything I had, everything, and he just tossed me around like a rag doll, then he took off with Dad, I was the only one with powers who could've done something, and I didn't," Jordan rambled with guilt

"You can do something now, just focus, okay? Dad's humanity depends on us, he spent his whole life protecting us and loving us but now it is our turn to bring him home where he belongs," Kate urged her brother

They ended up figuring out where Clark was making them rush over to tell their mother and grandfather, Kate felt a rush of relief as she knew that her dad was putting up a fight. The Kent siblings ran to give their dad a hug when they saw him again.

"You did good," Clark commented to his oldest son

"It was all thier idea," Jordan deadpanned looking at his siblings

"We were just trying to think, what would you do," Jon responded in a shy tone

"How'd you do it, Dad? How'd you break free?" Kate asked her father

"Thought about you guys, remembered what I was fighting for and I had a little bit of help," Clark stated before John flew in

The Kent siblings let their parents have a moment to themselves so they could talk, Kate smiled at the picture on her desk before going to finish schoolwork from the day. The only thing that she cared about was the fact that they had their dad back and he fought for them.
