Clark had called the kids downstairs so they could all have a talk about Jon and what is expected of them now, Kate knew that the conversation was needed but she also knew that her parents were still angry about it so it wasn't going to be effective much right now.

"Do we need to be here for this too?" Jordan asked as they walked in

"Yep, in case you ever get a bright idea like your brother," Clark remarked to the boy 

"Dad, I already apologized," Jon spoke with a groan

"Yeah, well, Jon, an apology is not gonna be enough this time we have parents calling us not wanting you anywhere near their kids and it's not gonna get any better when they find out football's over," Clark stated to the kids

"Did they cancel the season?" Kate asked with concern

"We had to forfeit all the wins and since no one was talking about who else was using, Principal Balcomb decided it was just best to call it, first time in Smallville's history because of you ao, Jon, whose drugs were those?" Clark asked the boy

"I can't tell you," Jon responded in soft voice

"You mean you won't," Clark stated in a strict voice

"No, Dad, you don't understand," Jon mocked their father

"No, Jon. I don't understand but I thought my son had a little more integrity than this, It's your dad so I'm sure it's about Anderson," Clark stated to his wife

"And perfect timing, as always," Lois mumbled out

"Yeah, well, this time it is," Clark stated before flying off

"Look, I convinced Principal Balcomb to let you take classes online. If you do your work, you hand it in on time, you won't miss a grade," Lois explained to her son

"I'm just supposed to hang out at the house all day?" Jon questioned in response

"No, you're gonna work at Brit & Dunn's starting today so be ready in minutes, all of you," Lois directed before walking off

"Hey, man, why are you doing this?" Jordan asked in a whisper

"Just leave it alone," Jon scolded before walking out

Lois had dropped the teens off at school where Kate was greeted by her boyfriend who pulled her into a huge hug causing her to smile before pulling away so they could go to their lockers. Kate was carrying her jacket before hanging it in her locker for safekeeping,

"Are your parents still giving you three a hard time?" Marcus asked making her sigh

"Jon is only doing it to protect whoever and they know that but they want him to say who so they can keep him out of trouble," Kate explained some more

"But he won't?" Marcus asked before she nodded

"Let's talk about something else, how was breakfast with your dad?" Kate asked making him sigh

"Tense but a necessary step to forgiveness," Marcus explained making her nod

"Baby steps," Kate agreed with a smile

"Can't fight them all at once," Marcus agreed with her

"Let's go out tonight as a date since we've only been out once and we could use some alone time or a break," Kate suggested to her boyfriend

"How about the arcade right outside of town?" Marcus added in support

"Pick me up say around seven?" Kate questioned in return

"Seven," Marcus agreed making her kiss his cheek

"I'll see you after school," Kate mumbled before heading to class

School had never seemed any more boring to Kate until Math Class, she had always loved school but then she transferred. She was trying to have fun at the arcade instead of thinking of school but she couldn't seem to get out of her head for long enough.

"Hey, tell me what's going on?" Marcus asked noticing her mood

"I'm trying so hard to be present but I can't stop thinking about the math test on Monday and it's killing the mood," Kate ranted making him chuckle

"You are just a big nerd, aren't you?" Marcus joked making her playfully shove him

"So I'm a nerd now?" Kate questioned as he forced her into a hug

"Yeah but lucky for you that I'm into nerds that help me study," Marcus charmed before kissing her cheek

"Oh, so you're using me for my smarts?" Kate mocked making him scoff

"You could say that," Marcus joked making her roll her eyes

"Well, I'm gonna beat you in this game of Ski Ball using my smarts," Kate remarked to the blonde

"In your dreams, Sweetheart," Marcus scolded before chasing after her

"I love you," Kate whispered before kissing him

"I love you more," Marcus whispered before he pulled her closer

Kate pulled away so they could start playing the game which Kate won making her flash a smirk at Marcus, he rolled his eyes in response. Marcus had dropped her off an hour later, she had hung up the pictures that they had taken from the photo booth on her wall causing her to smile as she looked at them.
