We get back to the shack and Mabel is home.

"Hey Dip Dop!" she smiles

"Hey Mabes, where were you?" I ask

"The mall, you were with Gabe and I told him that, where were you guys" she asks

"At the Mall looking for you!" says Gabe

"Yeah we couldn't find you, what were you doing?" I ask

"Well I was getting a new phone!" she says showing us her phone

"Cool," I say beginning to walk upstairs "wait... did you do to the apple store?" I ask

"Yep, why?" she says playing on her phone

"No reason..." I run upstairs

I sit at my desk trying to put 3 and 2 together. 'Maybe I can ask Emmalyn out,' I thought. but she knew my last name and I didn't tell her, was it an assumption or did she know by some weird way? Or maybe Roxanne. Do I really want to take the risk of overly sweet? And there's always Nyx. She has her own personality, strong minded, independent, defiantly not afraid to speak her mind.

"You thought if the word 'min' so here I am!" Bill says

"I'm just trying to figure something out." I say

"Pick Nyx," he tells me

"What, why?"

"Because she is basically the girl verso of me if you think about it! Just dye half her hair blonde and BAM, we share a personality!" he smiles

"Y-yeah, okay, sure, ill ask her out."

"There you go pine tree!" he says kissing my head

"But listen, I have to go... for a little... so I might not be around as often, this time that I'm gone should give you enough time to experience dating a girl." he says

"What! How long?"

"Don't worry about that pine tree!" he pats my head and kisses my birthmark then disappears

"ALEX PINES!!!!" Mabel screams

"COME DOWN HERE!" She screams

Oh fuck it, fine. I get down stairs and she tackles me,

"Hey!" I say

"Why didn't you tell me you were dating a girl?!" she says

"What? no I'm not dating a girl! I just want to!" I explain

"What about Bill?" she says

"Bill is going away for a little so he thought I should experience dating a girl, so he's perfectly fine with it!" I say

"Oh, okay!" she smiles getting off me

I walk out the door into the forest, where would Nyx be? I sit down and lean on a tree, where is she?

"Why is this so difficult?!" I hear someone say

I get up and look Around the tree to find a guy sitting there,

"Can I guess it has something to do with a girl?" I say walking I from of him

"Yeah, how'd you know?" he asks looking up

"Same thing with me," I say sitting down

"Alex," I say giving my hand to shake

"Carter," he says shaking it

"So who's the girl?" I ask

"Oh just this girl I met in the mall today, maybe you've heard of her? Mabel Pines?" he says

I burst out laughing,
"Dude that's my sister!" I laugh harder

"But she told me she had a brother named Dipper, not Alex." he says confused

"Well my name is Alex but everyone calls me Dipper," I explain

"Oh, so who's the girl you're looking for?" he asks

"Well I don't know her last name but, Nyx." I say

"Mhm, I believe I know Nyx Sabine," he grins

"Wow you do?!" I ask

"Mhm, last time I check she was my sister," he laughs

"Who knew," I laugh

"So can you take me to see Mabel?" He asks

"Only if you take me to see Nyx," I say

"Deal," he says shaking my hand

We get back to the shack and Mabel lights up,

"Coffee guy!" she smiles

He just laughs, "close enough to carter!"

He hands me a slip of paper and I walk out looking at the address, I follow it to a big mansion. Am I seeing this right?? A girl like her lives here?

"Hey Dork," she says flicking my birthmark

"You never told me you had a brother," I say

"Oh what are you into him?" he smirks

"What? No!" I say

"Okayyyy, but if you're wondering... he is bi," she winks

"Well actually I was here to see you," I smile

"Phone trouble? What, the adorkable guy can't fix his phone?" she fake pouts at me talking in a baby voice

"No, I'm here to ask you something,"

"I NEVER COMMITTED A CRIME!" she panics

"What?! Anyway Nyx,"

"Dork,"

"Wanna go out sometime?" I ask

She just stares at him with a blank face, she walks inside and disappears, I start to walk away when she flicks my forehead,

"Where are you going dork?" she smiles

"My house," I reply

"What about that date?" She grins and I smile

This is it, I'm going on a date with Nyx.
