Sage"I think Ray should come with you." Ty suggests as he sits on my couch, watching me pack the last of my things.
"No!" I huff, zipping up my now packed suitcase.
"Okay but at least let me turn on the tracker in your phone so I know you're okay."
"Ty, I'll be fine. It's just a holiday." A holiday where wes is doing whatever business he has to do. Probably drug related.
Ty sighs, rubs his eyes. I can tell me going away is stressing him out. Him and I go everywhere together. Never been on holiday without him. Haven't really been anywhere without him. And if not him it's Ray. He only feels comfortable when I'm with the three people on his trustworthy list. Himself, JJ and Ray.
"I promise you, it'll be fine. I'll make sure the tracking device works before I leave so if you're really worried you can check it." I place a gentle hand on his shoulder. Offer a small but sweet smile.
My brother looks me in the eyes, visibly more relaxed because his shoulders slump. He nods, smiling back.
"Bring your pocket knife. And your gun." He instructs.
"Ty." I flash him a look.
"No! I don't need to bring my gun."
"Yes you do. You don't know what could happen out there. It'll be fine anyways, wasn't you saying you were going on a private jet? You don't need to worry about checks and shit."
I groan. "The tracker will be on, I will text you every minute of every hour, I will carry my pocket knife, but I am not bringing my gun." I cross my arms over my chest, staring at him defiantly.
He rolls his eyes in annoyance. "Fine."
"I'm gonna go quickly check with security that they have your little boyfriends registration plate on record just in case." Before I even have time to respond Ty is out of my room and bounding down the stairs.
"Insane." I whisper to myself shaking my head. I pet Salum, saying goodbye one last time. Feeling a little sad because I have attachment issues to him and can't even go without him for an hour let alone three days.
"Bye cutie." I coo at Salum before I place him down and grab my suitcase.
I get three steps down on the stairs until I start to struggle. My suitcase is extremely heavy.
"Lemme help!" A voice says. Feeling my suitcase being lifted from my hands I look up and see JJ in front of me. Haven't seen him since our "argument" in the kitchen a week ago
"Thanks." I try and remain calm and not show how surprised I am seeing him again.
"Anytime lil Sagey." He laughs easily and cooly as if no time has passed.
He gets to the bottom of the stairs placing my suitcase down and I follow after him.
"Excited for your holiday?"
"Yeah. It's gonna be fun." I nod with a small smile. I feel as though I'm the only awkward one in this situation which is weird because he should feel as awkward as I do. We didn't end the conversation off in the best way.
He nods, pushing my suitcase gently towards me so I can hold it again.
"I'm sorry again about...you know." He scratches the back of his neck awkwardly.
"No it's...fine." I dismiss.
"Just...care about you a lot. You know?"
"No—yeah...I get it." I throw him a small understanding smile.
