Sage"One more month!" Jada beams.
"I know! One more month until we've finished fifth year." I exhale relieved.
"And then, one year left and we've graduated. Can you believe that?" She turns to me.
"No. Not at all. Seems like we just started yesterday." I laugh as we come to a stop outside of oxfords gates.
"Any post graduation career plans yet?" Jada asks
"I'm not even sure. I've always wanted to be a critical care medicine specialist. Peaks my interest more. But then again, I've been reading up about neurology too." The decision of what I want to specialise in is as stressful as the six year course itself.
"Both good choices." Jada shrugs.
"You?"
"Oncology is what I'm hoping to get into." Jada reveals.
"That's a good choice!" I encourage.
"Wow, we really picked some of the hardest fields." She laughs.
"We really did." I laugh too.
"But, I think we've got this." I nudge her playfully.
"I think so too." She agrees.
"Okay, I need to get going." I say. Pulling her into a hug.
"Bye." I let her go, readjusting my bag.
"Bye." She waves.
We go our separate ways. I walk towards a very distinctive Ray, stood outside his car waiting for me as he does every day.
"How was class kiddo?" He asks as I approach him.
"Good. I prefer the morning ones." I tell as he opens the door for me and I get in.
I watch Ray get into the front, sitting in the drivers seat.
"Still going....there?" Ray asks tentatively.
"Yeah." I nod, fiddling with my fingers nervously.
He shoots me a soft smile before starting up the car.
I've zoned out so much, thinking about how I'm going to feel when I get to where we're going that I don't even realise we've arrived.
I see Ty's car parked, him leaning against it. He looks up the minute we pull up onto the drive.
"Hey." I say getting out of the car and pulling the door closed. Making my way to him.
"Hey." He smiles pulling me into a hug.
"I'll be in the car." Ray smiles supportively, opening the door and getting back in.
Ty holds out his hand and I take it.
His phone suddenly rings. He digs it out of his pocket, apologising before answering it.
"What JJ I'm busy?"
I can't hear JJ's voice but from the Ty's facial expression it doesn't seem good.
"What do you mean you can't fucking find them? Did I not send two men to keep an eye on them? Watch their movements?" He snaps. It's been a long time since I've seen Ty angry about business issues. I'm usually not around him anymore for things like that.
"They can't have disappeared into thin air. We can't have that happening! They're our biggest competition right now!"
Ty starts to pace back and forth a little.
