Sage

They'll find me. I'll be okay. They're on their way. I'll be okay. Before I know it I'll be back safe and sound. This is what I keep telling myself as I'm held down in the back of the car by two masked men. One holding my legs and the other holding my arms so I can't escape.

Breathe Sage. I breathe in and out through my nose as best I can. They've duck tapped my mouth and blindfolded me.

Remember what Ty taught you.

What can you smell? Cologne. A citrusy, musky scent. I only know a few men's colognes that have that smell. Ty has a lot of colognes.

Think. I run through the colognes in my head. All of the ones I can think of with that smell. The ones I know Ty wears.

Eau de toilette by Revolution man. That's what it is. A popular cologne for boys aged 18-22. It was one of Ty's first colognes before he moved onto the bigger more expensive ones.

They must be around that age group. From the area as our perfume store in Knightsbridge is the only one that sells it. I've tried looking for it elsewhere. I accidentally broke Ty's bottle of it years ago. Tried to replace it before he noticed.

At least now, I can slowly build up facts about whoever's taken me. I need more though.

What can you see? Ty's instructions drill into my mind.

My blindfold isn't completely opaque. Anytime we pass by a street lamp, it's shines onto my blindfold and I can see out of it a little.

Wait for the right time. I breathe, readying myself for the next light.

It flashes a couple of minutes later and I take my opportunity. I discreetly look down at the ground. To my left, black shoes. I think airforces. I lift my head up a bit to see more but the light goes out.

Try again. I wait patiently for the next light. The minute we pass by I look. Black tracksuit bottoms.

What can you sense around you? Ty's last instruction. My hands and legs are no use so I try and listen out for any noise that may indicate to where we're going.

I know it's far because we've been driving for a few hours now.

I keep an ear out. Waiting, hoping for some type of noise.

The car suddenly shakes from side to side a little for five minutes before we're on smooth ground again. Whatever we were driving on is bumpy.

Cobblestone. Some places have cobblestone streets. Most importantly, Manchester. Manchester has a cobblestone street. It would make sense being in Manchester after driving for as long as we did.

Predicting where I possibly might be doesnt put me at ease. Ty doesn't even know where I am. No one does. And when he does find out, how is he going to make it to me in time?

The car suddenly comes to a stop, I jerk forward due to the sharp stop but immediately get held down again.

I hear voices, one that's deep, ordering the others to get out. The sound of the door opening catches my attention, the wind from the cold night air hitting me.
