Jisoo managed to go through the change without, well, changing.

"Do you think we're ever going to get out of here?" Ryujin asked impatiently.

"Why would you even want to?" Lisa quipped. "This room is awesome, and if we leave it means we have to go back to classes. I'm kinda hoping we get stuck in here until we're past finals so we don't have to take them.

"I guess that's true, but I'm bored." Ryujin said exasperatedly.

"Sword fight?" Lisa asked eagerly.

Ryujin perked up.

"No." Jennie cut in sternly, not looking up from the book she had summoned into the room.

Lisa deflated.

"But Nini—"

"No Lisa! The last time you and Jisoo played with swords you had a massive cut on your cheek and you swiped Jisoo's leg. You both got hurt and I know you and Ryujin would be so much worse." Jennie scolded her. "I only know simple healing spells. I can't reattach arms."

Lisa went to Jennie and Ryujin shook her head. Jennie had clearly won already so she went and sat next to Jisoo, Rosie was on her other side and they were talking.

"Dude, I can't believe you're going to be a werewolf." Ryujin said in awe. "Like, I know it's supposed to suck but it's kind of cool too isn't it?"

"I'll let you know. All I know right now is that my dad's totally going to cry when he finds out." Jisoo said, sighing deeply.

"And your mom?" Rosie asked gently.

"She's probably going to slap grandaddy Draco to infinity and beyond and then yell at the headmistress for letting it happen once she realizes what it really means to be a werewolf. God forbid she ever sees Professor Teddy. She might not be a witch but if anyone can Avada Kedavra someone with their eyes it's my mother." Jisoo said with a slight shiver.

"Are you scared?" Rosie asked again. "Of what's coming?"

"Kim Jisoo does not get scared." Jisoo said, looking a little offended.

"It's okay to be scared Jisoo." Rosie said, putting a gentle hand on her thigh and rubbing it soothingly.

"You'll still be my friends?" Jisoo blurted out. She hadn't meant to, but that had been her biggest concern. She wasn't used to not being liked, or caring about it for that matter. Suddenly she found herself completely understanding Jennie and Lisa's struggle. Even Rosie's for that matter, for coming from such a famous family too. The pressure was probably a lot.

Jisoo had always joked around and coasted through life fairly comfortably. She had no dark past, no real detrimental insecurities, no incredibly pressured family legacy to live up to.

Her mom always pushed her to be better, but not in a toxic way. It was always Jisoo's choice about what she wanted to excel in. If Jisoo took an interest in something they would too to help make her better. Her mom and dad never tried to mould her into what they wanted her to be.

Jisoo felt out of her element now. She felt like she was on the outside for the first time in her life.

"Always." Rosie answered her, throwing an arm over Jisoo's shoulder. "We'd never abandon you. We love you too much."
