Louis's POV:

Yesterday, we secured the trophy, but I'm perplexed by Zayn's recent behavior. He's been targeting me with personal attacks, neglecting the game, and I'm unsure of the underlying cause. Even if there's a reason, he lacks the right to treat me disrespectfully. Just like there's a limit to how much water clouds can hold, I've reached my limit in ignoring his misconduct, and I won't do so any longer.

"What's going on between you and Zayn?" Out of nowhere, Liam asked that felt like a trip straight into an active volcano, where I'd be consumed by the searing lava.

"Yeah." Adeline took a sip of her coffee. The whole school has been discussing that incident with Zayn.

The incident yesterday, when she was in his arms and my heart here was burning on the sight. Every once of my body was screaming how she was supposed to be wrapped in my arms. I should be the one protecting her but it has always been him. Zayn. Watching her with him is a torture I can't escape. Every word they exchange, every glance they share, it's a torment. She's a warm star while I'm just a distant planet, revolving around her, hoping to catch even a fraction of her light but when I see them together deep inside I always feel that I'm longing for something I can never have.

But have you seen her? Those innocent eyes which are blended with worry and nervousness right now are like the light of the sun to a dark world. The first time I talked to her under the night sky, I felt like finding a hidden treasure, a secret the world hasn't noticed yet or maybe I had found my treasure. Her brown? They give off the vibes of an autumn season where there is tranquility even if everything is falling apart but simultaneously they give you the comfort similar to that one feels in a warm blanket in the winter. Her smile brightens my world. Her hair flows like they are the favorite thing of winds to play with. Her presence is like a safe haven in a chaotic world, a place where I can find refuge.

"I don't know myself." She was struggling to speak and honestly, I don't even know who he was saving me from."

"That was MARKUS." Adeline replied in a shocking tone.

"WHAT?" With a more shocking tone she replied. "He has changed. He's a complete new person now."

"He looks so creepy. He has turned into a monster but he always was a monster though." Adeline disgustingly spoke.

"Who are you guys talking about?" Thank god Laim asked. I've been wondering the same thing.

"Uhh, the guy Zayn argued with yesterday." Adeline spoke. "He's such a moron if I had the right I would have destroyed his eyes. He sees every girl as if she's some slut. No respect for girls at all. I'm so glad Zayn saved Marcella."

"I don't need anybody to be my savior. I'm not helpless. I'm capable of facing my own problems." In a furious manner, Marcella conveyed her feelings.

"Ohh, cool down sis."

"By the way, did you guys notice how Zayn was just attacking Louis personally on the ground yesterday as if he was only there to fight Louis and not win the game as a team." Liam said.

"Yeah, that's what I wanted to talk to Zayn about so I had gone to him but some unexpected things happened and I failed." With a disappointing tone, Marcella said.

Wow, I never expected this. She had reached Zayn to talk about me? No wonder she has the most genuine and beautiful soul.

"Seriously. I wanted to throw Liam at Zayn when he was doing that." Adeline said, making Liam frown but everyone laughed.

"I mean you would have protected your brother, you know." Adeline added sarcastically.

"Yeah, yeah I know." Liam rolled his eyes, making Adeline laugh more. "Aww, look at his face."

I love the connection they have with laughter that forms their unique world. They love living and enjoying it together.

"Weren't we supposed to do something about the killings?" Marcella questioned looking at me maybe because that idea was initiated by me.

"Yeah but it's been a month since no killing happened so I think the authorities have done something." I have not told them about the sword incident. I've been trying to learn about it through books in the library but surprisingly I couldn't find one.

"I'm going to meet Aurora. See you guys soon." Marcella bid us a goodbye.

She seems confused about something.

Marcella's POV:

I'm the subject of everyone's curiosity as I move through the crowd.

"Here you are." I walked to Marcella who was sitting on a bench placed under a large tree in front of the main school building.

My eyes are going around just to spot a familiar face. My heart races with each guy face my eyes lands on, unsure if the wait for my eyes are over.

"I've also not seen Zayn since morning." Aurora teased me.

"Shut up! I'm not looking for him." I rolled my eyes.

I talked about my feelings to Aurora last night and she believes that I've started falling for him, she says the feeling is mutual but I don't really agree with her.

She mentioned how impressive it is to see a person pushing themselves just to become a better person for someone they value. According to her, Zayn was the bad boy of the school who just loved messing around with students, girls and sometimes doing things which according to him and his groups were funny but in reality it was called bullying. But since the day he has met me, he's become more considerate and compassionate. He's making an effort to be a better person maybe we are yet to see his best version. His action screams this that's why there are so many gossips around.

As Aurora was teasing me, my eyes locked with the same girl I saw yesterday with Zayn.

"Who's she?" I asked my best friend when the girl along with her two friends walked in my direction.

"Marina, associated with Zayn for the longest. Poor girl really likes him buy Zayn doesn't"

"Ohh, look who we have here." The blonde hair said in a sarcastic tone. Her grudging hazel eyes were focused on me. "Do you realize what you're in for? He's not one to commit. He's treated girls like temporary flings."

"I don't understand what are you talking about." I lied because I don't want any drama.

"People like him don't change overnight. He's a master of deception. You'll be just another name on his list of heartbroken girls. You are no special. Keep that in your fucking mind." She said in an appalling tone and slowly walked away.

What if I'm just another victim in the making, waiting for heartbreak? What if my emotions are blinding me, and he's not as genuine as he appears?

Yesterday, he was begging for my apology but today he's no where to be seen.

As I was thinking about it, someone placed a piece of paper paper in my hand distracting me from my thoughts.

The paper read "The school of Golillion School of Magic invites you to join the gather to remember and celebrate life of Lady Trisha Malik, your presence and support would mean a great deal to us. We hope you can join us in the common hall to pay tribute to someone who has touched our lives deeply and will remain in our hearts forever."

Trisha Malik?

"Ohh, do you know that's Zayn's mother? She was one of the most strongest wizard but unfortunately we lost her to death on this day."

It suddenly struck me, now I understand the absence.

(Have a great day/night/afternoon xoxo )
