15. Requests and Offers

"What is happening?" Dan Heng felt embarassed as the maids made Ryu and the shinobi following them to a chamber inside Blade's manor.

"Your Highness wanted to show his respect to the Imbibitor by gifting him this whole place!" a maid exclaimed happily with her eyes sparkling, against Dan Heng's dead stare.

Ryu's eyes did sparkle "Oh my Gods! Look, Dan Heng! It's all yours! He's spoiling the Imbibitor" he smiled proud "Of course, after all everyone is talking about the Imbibitor's magic during the feast eheh"

Dan Heng turned like he was the main character of an horror movie towards Ryu "I remind you you died, you fucking idiot" he gnashed his teeth to then look around and sigh heavily, feeling just in awe.

He crossed his arms "Tell his Highness that he can burn this down, I am not accepting this... gift? Who the hell gifts rooms of a manor? Actually, I am going to tell him personally" he walked to then get Yukimura's hand on his shoulder to stop him

"Imbibitor, why don't you look at the room a little bit more?" he asked and Dan Heng felt annoyed "Your Highness personally requested to prepare the room"

Toyo did stretch "Indeed! He even gifted you more kimonos, it sounds like soon you won't be seen as a prisoner in the manor but a guest! And Your Highness usually doesn't care about treating even the guests this well"

"Hurray..." Dan Heng said ironically to then look around.

The room was big, and simple. It had some zabuton around a table for a possible tea, a room divider made with golden decorations and the imperial standards that would show a zone where there was just a zither, a beautiful one.

Dan Heng's eyes actually did sparkle. He walked and sat in front of the zither that definitely looked like it was definitely high quality and it had even some decorations in ore around the main part where the strings were.

He felt his heart actually pounding, because... did he seriously like his song that much to gift him that instrument?

Ryu clapped his hands happily "I guess he likes it" he whispered to the shinobis who nodded proud of their Master, while the maids were staring, wondering if they could have been blessed with the Imbibitor's music.

The tales of his powers and the magic of his songs that would charm even the tyrants were the most famous ones, but were they even real? Dan Heng didn't know and he didn't care.

Dan Heng in that moment stopped his hands from playing anything to then cross his arms "HAH! He's trying so hard..." he stand up and almost fell on his feet "If he seriously thinks I will give him another personal performance, HAH" he grabbed his tail to walk faster, and the maids tried hard not to laugh at him being goofy when he was trying to show himself mad "He's gonna hear me, no gifts will make me play for him ever again"

"Wait, Dan Heng!" Ryu chased the Imbibitor who was going straight to Blade's office.

"Stay away, Ryu. Two days have passed, does he think I don't remember?" he muttered annoyed to then open the door of his office "Your Highness!" he opened the door and froze as he noticed the room full of people, imperial officers probably

Blade had his eyes closed and he was sat, wearing his red and black imperial kimono. His long hair were loose and he definitely looked tired of those people talking.

But as soon as he heard Dan Heng, his eyes were burning of madness. Dan Heng smiled innocently "Woops, I was looking for the bath, my apologis.."

"Dan Heeeeng!" Ryu wrapped his arms around Dan Heng's waist and Blade's lips twitched as he saw Ryu trying to pull the Imbibitor out of the room
