"Have you eaten?" Eiji asked as they were walking. Dan Heng looked at the Crown Prince with his cheeks a little red. He was embarassed because he was dying to eat something.
"Not really, after the audience I... asked to have some rest, and his Higness Blade showed me the room..." he explained and Eiji's red eyes were locked on his evasive gaze.
"I understand... My little brother must treasure you a lot. He wouldn't care to treat his prisoner" he talked as he crossed his arms. Dan Heng smiled innocently "Did he do anything shameful to you, Imbibitor?" he asked and he shook his head
"No, he's surely..." Dan Heng did bite his lips, having no idea how to call him.
He wanted to say; idiot, arrogant, but sometimes actually nice, but lately he has been fucking rude.
Eiji laughed a little "Even the purest heart finds it difficult to describe my little brother" he sighed as he looked at the garden "I do apologise for his behaviour, Blade has always found himself between life and death, he's not used to treat people nicely. I am sure you're new to our Empire matters, but I think you should get a view of our lands and the commanders before deciding"
"Deciding? Do I have... choice?" Dan Heng tilted his head and the Crown Prince laughed lightly
"Maybe" he said to then shrug like he was playing with him, making Dan Heng sigh.
Dan Heng tilted his head and Eiji crossed his arms "I am the Crown Prince, I am used to this life... Poison threats, swords pointed at your throat in the night..." he sighed "Blade was unwanted in the Palace, and when his mother disappeared, the other concubines just wanted to get rid of him through servants and even the most loyal nanny"
Dan Heng did tremble for a moment "What? But he was the youngest so... why?" his blue eyes did tremble for a moment "Was he getting targeted since he was a kid...?"
"Blade was strong, stronger than any of us... His mother was.... a strong fighter" Eiji sighed "Sadly she got exiled and probably died" he explained "There are tons of secrets within the walls of this Palace" he said as Dan Heng was getting a little sad "I still remember when we broke in his room and he was just seven when he killed his first person"
Dan Heng opened up his eyes and Eiji laughed "I apologise, you're a pure heart, is it sinful to tell you the dark stories of the Imperial family?" he looked at the sky "You look so surprised for something so normal here, like a fairytale"
Dan Heng had an awkard face "I think we do have a different opinion on fairytales" he muttered "Broo, I am in a thriller, in a yellow novel or what?" he whispered to himself to then cough "Who did he kill?"
"His nanny... It was so beautiful, he was covered in her blood and his red eyes were opened up, scared of what he had done but it was about survival... My Father used to tell me that Blade would have been the sword of the Empire and I couldn't say he was wrong" he explained to then tilt his head "Have you wondered why I am telling you all this, Imbibitor?"
Dan Heng felt even more scared but at the same time his heart was getting filled with sadness. Blade's childhood was trash... Exiled mother, alone in an imperial palace full of people who wanted him dead.
He felt headache, seriously. Those information made his heart ache.
"I guess to know more the person who kidnapped me" he spoke and Eiji showed a gentle smile "But what's the point?" he muttered in awe
"I know my little brother too much" Eiji sighed "He's the only one who wants my title without killing me" he said with an obvious tone "Pretty naive, but I know there was always something that would draw him to you... He has been quite... obsessed into having you. Planned so many missions and lost so much but kept trying" he looked focus on his own thoughts
