31. A Familiar Music

"Apologies, but my zither player doesn't offer any service other than the performance you can assist every morning" Lady Ayrin smiled warmly trying to keep a sweet stare even though that customer was really getting on her nerves.

Dan Heng was playing a lovely song on the zither, the fact people were buying tea and asking for food or anything else just to have an excuse to stay more in the tea house, was bringing so much money to the activity, and Lady Ayrin was awfully glad.

But on the other side, of course, some entitled customers were asking to meet and actually talk to Dan Heng.

"If you want someone to keep you company, I have many beautiful ladies or gentleman who can serve you" Lady Ayrin bowed and the customer rolled his eyes annoyed.

"What is this?! I want to meet him! He plays the zither so well, I can bring him in many cities of the Empire! How much can I pay for him?!" 

"Nothing, unless you want to pay with your tongue" 

The customer felt his blood freezing as he heard that voice.

He turned and he looked at Fenir, who smirked evilly "Oh, if it isn't the old Yunju" he tilted his head "Still annoying my sister? I have told you many times..."

"Fenir!" Evias smiled innocently as he was wrapping the arms around his husband's "Hello Yunju, you should stop trying to buy my Husband's cousin"

Yunju opened up his eyes "What?! Your cousin?! Since when you do have a cousin? Wasn't your family killed by the holy order when you lived there?!" he exclaimed "You liars!" 

Dan Heng kept playing the zither, but his blue eyes were now focus on looking at the situation. He could notice Fenir clenching his hands into fists and Ayrin closing her eyes for a moment, like she was trying her best to keep it professional.

"You fucking bastard" Fenir was pulled by Evias as Ayrin looked at the guards of the city and pointed the finger at Yunju.

"Fenir, Fenir, it's okay, my love you're sooo beautiful, do you know how I love your red eyes? So sexy so impossible to resist" Evias sang, trying to calm him down

"He's our cousin, end of the discussion, and end of your stay here" Ayrin smiled innocently as the guards got him

"He's got talent! It's either one of the merchant guild who takes care of his talent or sooner or later he will get claimed by one of the Emperor's Son! I heard his Highness Haru is planning to visit the city to check if the rumours of the magic zither player are real!" he shook off the guard's hold "And we all know His Highness Haru hasn't any Tayu anymore, he will surely get him! We all know his likings!"

Evias opened up his eyes and Dan Heng in that moment almost messed up the melody.

"So he's not Haru's Tayu" Evias muttered to then look at Yunju getting kicked out the Tea house. He sighed to then look at Fenir who did caress his sister's head "Are you two okay?"

Ayrin sighed to then hug Fenir "Your clothes are dirty, were you working?" she muttered and Fenir sighed heavily

"As always. Working with gems and steel.." he replied to then hold her tight "Sorry"

"It's alright" she closed her eyes for a moment, feeling tired "Your friend is giving me some troubles, but also a lot of money, we should share" she winked as she got off the hug and Fenir smirked a little to then look at Evias embarassed like he didn't want to ruin the little moment between sister and brother.

"We have already everything we need" Fenir got Evias into his arms "Our love nest near the forest, away from... nuisances and..." 

"Enough enough, if you want to do anything get a room" Ayrin's lips twitched, she still couldn't get used to her brother's courting.
