43. Soulmates meet Again

"No fucking way!"

"Dan Heng!" Blade sighed as he held him on the bed of the palace"I got ordered to be out of those matters and this means you as well" he said and Dan Heng grit his teeth

"I want to see Evias!" he exclaimed "I gotta tell him about Fenir! He's missing and he probably doesn't know shit!" he shouted "How can you be so calm?!"

Blade rolled his eyes to then press his body on his to keep him there "Dan Heng. Eiji is the Crown Prince, he has ordered me. He was serious and he promised me he would give Evias freedom. You have to trust him."

Dan Heng pushed Blade a little off him to stand up from bed and sigh annoyed. He looked out of the window of the big palace they were staying. This Palace was nothing more than just a big mansion Haru sometimes would stay and enjoy some company because "bored" of his main place. For Dan Heng, everything was humiliating and infuriating at the same time.

"Why did he do that?" Dan Heng muttered confused "Eiji... Why did he go alone?"

"Are you worried about him?" Blade tilted his head as he got closer to him to hug from behind, trying to calm him down "He's the Crown Prince"

"I still don't trust him to give Evias back... I wonder how he is doing..." Dan Heng was dead worried about the druid. And partially... if not completely he felt guilty.

Guilty because every fucking time Haru would get any closer to someone Dan Heng knew... well, everyone knew how the story went.

Ryu was enough for example.

"If you don't trust him, trust me, okay?" Blade asked and Dan Heng turned to then nod a little and hug him tight "They're probably having the audience now, Eiji told us to just take this day as a moment to rest before travelling once again" he explained to then smile "Want to see the city?"

Dan Heng nodded a little, showing off a moment of uncertainty. Blade held his hand and kissed it, making him smile a little "Let us go" he pulled him closer, leaving a sweet kiss on his forehead "Just hold on a little, I promise you... You will see Evias"

"Oh, my my... The Crown Prince has indeed came to my humble palace" Haru sighed, bored of everyone bowing to Eiji in front of the audience room, without even a guards with him "Honestly, brother, you surprise me" he tilted his head "Not only you, but you brought the... couple everyone is talking about" he let out a laugh and Eiji smiled a little

"Seems like Father has moved mountains and the Gods themselves to spread the voice about the marriage" Eiji smirked to then sigh lightly "Indeed, they're travelling with me to the Emperor's Palace. I think you will come to the wedding as well, won't you?"

Haru grit his teeth, showing a stare full of hatred, but he right away coughed and kept himself calm "I don't care about that loser. Prince Blade has been for years such a good soldier... Yearning to kill my mother and probably me too to then what..?" he laughed insanely "Falling in a trap my father and the Crown Prince have set up for him in order to force him to step back from the Crown Prince title race" he looked at a maiden who rushed towards him to handle him a glass of huangjiu "The Imbibitor has played well his cards, I didn't expect him to kill the fun, I couldn't wait to see Blade trying his best to get the Crown Prince title by killing you, aren't you sad, brother?"

Eiji crossed his arms and sighed "It appears you're jealous Blade managed to get so much power without even trying to kill me" Haru's eyes were almost two ponds of flaming red at that comment. Eiji's voice was calm like he wasn't getting annoyed, mad or anything from Haru's speech "I am here to indeed ask you to free a friend of the Imbibitor"
