"is this really okay?" jake asked concerned.
"yeah, just be careful. nobody should see us like this," heeseung replied.
"okay..." jake mumbled unsure. they started moving.
"hey, be careful... this is delicate," heeseung whispered.
"sorry, sorry," jake moved slower. "i can't believe we're doing this. what if your parents walk in on us?!" he questioned alarmed.
"don't be silly, they're out of the city for the whole weekend. don't worry, it'll be okay." heeseung reassured jake.
"alright..." the latter sighed. they kept going slowly for some more time.
"almost there..." heeseung breathed.
jake gulped, the adrenaline was making his heart beat like crazy.
"just a little more..." heeseung breathed once more.
they struggled for a bit more until they were finally done.
"great! you're incredible jake!" heeseung sang.
jake let himself fall on the floor, exhausted. "that was hard. next time you're sneaking in alcohol, try to think of taking a box to carry all the bottles, please. i thought they were gonna break at every step we took."
heeseung laughed, "sorry jaeyunie, thank you sooo much for your wonderful help. it will definitely be repaid."
jake scoffed. he loved it whenever heeseung called him jaeyunie, so he acted like he hated it.
"you're unbelievable," jake spat.
"it's gonna grow on you, i'm sure!"
jake got up from the floor and dusted himself off, heading for the fridge when heeseung stopped him by the hand. jake looked immediately at heeseung surprised, unable to act cool.
"oh, sorry," heeseung let go of his hand, "you just had some dust..." he brushed off jake's right shoulder gently. "right here. there. sorry."
heeseung gifted jake a smile and jake was brought back to the present moment.
"t-thanks..." he mumbled.
the mood suddenly turned a bit awkward and jake completely blamed himself. he just turned around slowly and opened the fridge quickly to grab a sweet drink, with the tiniest bit of alcohol in it, and chugged half of it in one go. it really was sweet.
"woah, isn't it too early to be getting drunk?" heeseung teased.
jake chortled a bit sarcastically, "i'm not getting drunk. but you are, birthday boy."
the younger grabbed one of heeseung's favorite drinks and opened it before giving it to him.
"drink up. eighteen seconds."
heeseung was skeptical but smiling and he just started chugging.
"1... 2... 3... 4... 5..." jake stopped counting. heeseung opened his eyes and threw a pointed look at him. "i'm just messing, goliath. 10... 11... 12... 13... 14... almost there," jake teased again, "17... 18!"
heeseung lowered the bottle and gasped for air.
"congrats, now you're officially 18 years old," jake sang.
heeseung chuckled, "thanks. let's go get the snacks ready. people should be arriving in half an hour."
"alrighty. did you get chocolate?" jake questioned.
"of course i did, silly. it's in my room, you can get it whenever you want."
"yay!" jake exclaimed as he ran to the kitchen.
heeseung watched him go with an unintentional smile. he adored him.
