"heeseung... got time to spare?" riki asked the next time they met.
"sure! what's up?" heeseung responded joyfully.
riki knew it was a sensitive matter but saying it directly saved him and heeseung time and agony.
"i think you need to take that flight and see jake."
silence filled the air. heeseung was mute. the smile had disappeared from his face and it was replaced by confusion.
"you... you think i should go see him? after he left without saying anything?" heeseung questioned incredulous.
riki nodded. "maybe if you see him and talk things out then you could figure out why he left like that. what is certain is that seeing him will give you what you need, either closure or, maybe, even an answer to your feelings."
heeseung hesitated. he had engraved in his head already that he wasn't going to see him. even though he was so sure about that a few minutes back, riki was right.
heeseung was just comfortable because nobody told him that he had to see jake. either jay or his parents always stayed neutral or quiet about it. riki was the first person that told him he had to.
unfortunately, the mere thought of seeing jake again made heeseung's heart jump and he didn't want to acknowledge it. why did he still feel so in love when he had been feeling so hurt?
"it's not like we can make you go, but just know that sunoo and i think the same. we don't know jake but we know you a little and you seem to really, really miss him."
heeseung nodded.
"i... i'll think about it. i'll let you know when i've made a decision..." heeseung said bidding riki goodbye and going to his room.
in the way, for the third time since vacation started, he bumped into jungwon. this time though, heeseung didn't hold back.
"why are you so accusing towards me?" heeseung questioned fiercely.
jungwon was shocked but didn't budge much, "you really need me to tell you?"
"yes. please do enlighten me."
jungwon scoffed, "you didn't care to keep in touch with jake. he waited and waited for you to contact him and you didn't even care enough to send him a text. or call him. you're even worse for not knowing that."
