"how did it come to this?" is what heeseung kept asking himself.
he is currently holding a sleeping jake in his arms, unable to sleep himself. heeseung smiles at the situation though. jake really was cold, he was shivering when they first lied down.
jake lied on the left side of the bed and heeseung on the right. at first, they had their backs turned against each other. in a matter of minutes, jake was determined to not let any chances slip by him anymore, so he turned around and held heeseung by the waist, hugging him tight.
"j-jake?" the latter asked surprised. if he expected anything, it was not that. jake had always been the shyest one between them both. nothing stayed the same.
"i'm not letting you think that i'm not in love with you. not even for a second. but i'm really cold right now..." jake shivered.
heeseung chuckled and turned around, holding jake tight in his embrace.
"neither am i," heeseung whispered before kissing jake's forehead and snuggling him impossibly closer.
in a span of 20 minutes jake was sound asleep. heeseung was surprised, he couldn't close his eyes at all.
so he didn't.
he just took in every feature in jake's face. his long hair, his eyebrows, his pointed straight nose, his eyelashes... his chubby lips...
heeseung shut his eyes closed. looking at jake like that while he was only sleeping made him feel like he was being a bit of a creep. but just by closing his eyes, heeseung could remember the feeling of kissing jake's lips like it had just happened.
he was going insane and the culprit was sound asleep right before him.
he really didn't know how it got to this.

heeseung was woken up by jake trying to squirm out of his grasp unnoticed, which he failed to do. they got up and jake thanked heeseung for letting him stay over for the night, even though it had only been a few hours in the morning.
jake went to his parents' house next door and surprised them, alright. his mom was crying her eyes out and his dad wouldn't stop smiling. heeseung cooked himself some breakfast and showered. by 2 in the afternoon, jake was back at his door, this time knocking at a normal pace.
