"that was too good, i ate sooo much!" jake exclaimed right after leaving his glass, that had soda a few seconds back, down on the table.
"i knew you'd like it. we have to come here again next week. save me another whole day with you, my treat," heeseung stated happily.
jake raised an eyebrow, "should i? or are you gonna forget and leave me stranded like past times?"
heeseung's smile died immediately, he knew jake was only joking, but he still felt like he had to properly apologize for it.
"please forgive this stupid boy and let me have another chance. think of it as me making it up to you, i won't miss it for anything at all," heeseung pleaded cheerfully.
"hmm... i'll think about it and get back to you in three years!" jake teased.
"pleaseee jaeyunie... i know i really messed up, let me make it up to you?"
truth be told, jake was being just a little more careful around heeseung because he feared he wouldn't be able to leave if he got too attached again. he wanted to distance himself a little so it would be less painful, everything, but jungwon was right: heeseung and him were too close to not hurt once jake left.
this was all so hard.
but jake was weak to his heart and heeseung was always in it. so he agreed and they planned on meeting in exactly a week to have another fun day... together.
"fine. but i need some guarantee in case you forget or accidentally plan something else. what will you do?" jake questioned deep down being serious.
"umm... i will buy you something you need for your big adventure. but i swear it won't be necessary. i'll be there. pinky swear," heeseung affirmed.
and he looked so convinced that jake trusted him again. jake just really, really hoped he wasn't jumping down expecting heeseung to catch him and the other not being there. jake couldn't take more damage.
"i'll trust you, hee. please don't let me regret it."
heeseung shook his head, "i'm going to make sure you don't fall alone jaeyun."
that statement was strange, jake didn't know how to take it so he just accepted it and moved on with their night.
