Emmett watches as Abel tries to stop Bella from going in the woods but fails.
"Edward..." Rosalie grabs his arm. "Don't go." She made an exception for Abel because Carlisle and Emmett were right, Abel's a mate, not a Singer.
Alice steps forward and she gently pulls Rosalie hand from Edward's arm. "He's already there," she says soothingly.
Emmett walks across the lot and he leans against Abel's Jeep. They're not together but Abel did give him rules. No PDA. Public displays of affection make Abel uncomfortable, even if it's just other people doing it. Emmett can accept those terms as long as he gets to talk to Abel every day and gets to show him physical affection when they're in private,
"Does she know now?" Abel asks Emmett.
"Yeah," Emmett replies. "Last night, according to Alice's vision."
"And...?"
"Rosalie isn't thrilled," Emmett says.
"When is she thrilled about anything?" Abel asks. "She's a bitter Queen."
Evan snorts and Rosalie looks somewhat offended. Abel sends them a wink and Evan smirks a little and starts teasing his mate while Emmett and himself head inside.

Emmett and Abel hang out at the Cullen residence next day while Edward answers the questions Bella has about vampires. Abel is standing on the balcony off the kitchen while Esme makes a new floral centerpiece sense Emmett broke the last one during the last game night because he is the textbook definition of a 'Sore Loser' when it comes to defeat.
Emmett steps outside with him. "It's beautiful here, isn't it?"
Abel nods. He likes when Emmett has his serious, down-to-earth moments when there's nothing going on. He's so calm. Abel finds himself leaning closer to Emmett, the vampire wraps an arm around the blue-haired boy as they take in the nature that surrounds them.
Esme watches them from the counter with a fond smile on her face while Rosalie plays a game of chess with Jasper.
"I like Abel for Emmett," Esme says calmly.
"So do I," Jasper says. "Check-mate."
"Oh, come on! Are you sure you're not clairvoyant like Alice?" Rosalie snaps.
"Positive, ma'am," Jasper replies smoothly and Rosalie makes a face.
Esme smiles at the two.

Emmett takes Abel out with him the next day so he can see him hunt. He puts him in a tree, but not too high so he can't see as Emmett tackles and fights with a bear. Abel learned Emmett's story last night over the phone before the human went to sleep, dreaming about having a house made out of candy and a chocolate pool (he's always had weird-ass dreams).
Seeing Emmett fight a bear makes Abel chuckle. "So you play with your food, huh?" he teases and Emmett drains the bear before glaring playfully up the tree before Evan and Rosalie show up. "Does he always okay with his food?"
"Only the bears!" Evan calls ho and Abel laughs.
Emmett smiles when he hears Abel's laugh and he leaps up. Abel grins as he turns and leans against the trunk. He swallows heads when he finds Emmett say right there. Emmett scoots closer and he pulls Abel's legs over his.
"Emmett..."
"I won't let you fall." Emmett uses his speed and strength to move them around to where his back's against the tree and Abel's straddling him. "Even if you did fall, I'm faster. I'd catch you before you hit the ground."
Abel reaches up and he touches Emmett's face. Emmett's bright golden eyes flutter closed at Abel's gentle touch. His face feels like rocks, but Abel's feels like a feather on a human face. It's so... relaxing. What surprises Emmett is when he feels warm lips on his. He kisses Abel back after the shock wears off and the two make out in a tree before they decide to establish their relationship and make things official.
