Emily and Abel have put together a huge breakfast for the pack, Emily, Abel, and Emily since Kim had to be at home. They are all gathered around the picnic table in the garden behind the cabin. While Abel's on the reservation, Emmett is trying to track down Victoria in Forks without Alice and her visions.
"I should leave town," Bella claims.
"Victoria will follow you and make it harder for us, the pack and Emmett, to catch her," Sam replies.
Abel wishes that the others were here because without Alice and her visions, Emmett can't find her.
"No one can catch her," Bella says. "She can escape anything."
"Ooh, she has special powers," Paul muses.
"She might just be like Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, and Emmett," Abel says. "They just have enhanced things since they don't have powers."
"Really?" Sam asks.
"Carlisle has perfect self-control," Abel says. "Rosalie got extra / enhanced beauty. Esme's very maternal. Emmett..." He smirks, smug, "is the strongest one in the coven. Victoria could be like that, just have extra agility and extra self-preservation that makes her escape easier than most."
"She's got a point," Sam says.
"But I'm sure it'll catch up with her eventually," Abel muses. "And I can hardly wait for it."
Paul snorts and he fist-bumps Abel. "I knew I liked you for a reason," he muses and Abel chuckles.
Bella smiles as she watches Abel interact with the pack. She adores how he can get along with just about anyone. So she leaves him alone and she talks softly with Jacob, who is sitting beside her.
