"Where did Abel go?" Emmett asks a few mornings later while they wait for a vampire Bella to wake up after she was injected with Edward's venom after having Abella Renésmee Carlie Cullen, named after Abel, Renée, Esme, and Carlisle.
"He managed to slip the wolves two nights ago," Jasper says. "Eleazar was right. His tracking ability will be better than Dimitri's. He might have that ability to escape, too, like Victoria did. He was scared of his lack of control with Lauren here." His phone rings. "What do you need, Abel?"
"I needed help with my control," Abel says. "I'm in Alaska. Eleazar said he'd help me."
Jasper sighs. "Did you slip?"
"No," Abel says. "I almost did in Healy, Alaska. Carmen and Kate found me. Kate"s ability sucks."
"I said I was sorry!" Kate whines in the background. "You didn't want to stop going after the bloody woman. I had to do something."
"I'm glad you're safe," Jasper says. "Emmett was worried. He went to see you this morning after a two-day hunt and you were gone."
"I'm sorry," Abel says. "Apparently I'm a Tracker and I have an ability to escape anything. Eleazar is very excited with my abilities."
"Don't stay away forever," Jasper says. "We'll see you when you're back?"
"Of course," Abel replies. "What did Bella name the baby?"
"She named her after you," Jasper says. "Abella."
Abel smiles. "Adorable," he says. "Can't wait to meet her." He looks at his hair. "I need new hair dye."
"I got it," Tanya declares. "I'm dying it."
"No, I am," Irina argues and she goes with Tanya.
"I have to go, Jazz, so I can go talk to Eleazar and Carmen about my control lessons," Abel says. "I'll call Emmett soon." He hangs up.
"Abel's in Alaska," Emmett says as he and Jasper join the others. "He's with the Denali coven to learn control."
"The Denali will keep him safe," Carlisle assures Emmett. "He'll be just fine under their care."
Emmett nods. "I know. Tanya and Irina were fighting over who was going to dye his hair. He'll be fine. The Denali all adore him. They wanted to steal him during the wedding,"
They all chuckle.
