November -
It's the fifteenth of November now and it's Lauren's birthday. They moved into their new apartment last week and it's still a mess so while Lauren as brunch with her family, Abel goes through and he unpacks everything and puts it away and cleans. He even goes to the store and goes home.
Abel is frosting the birthday cake when the door opens.
"Abe?" Lauren calls. "Why did my parents intentionally keep me longer than planned, and why does our apartment smell like heavenly chocolate?"
Abel picks up the cake. "Happy birthday to you," he sings as he exits the kitchen and Lauren's jaw drops. "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Lauren! Happy birthday to you!" He walks closer. "Blow out the candles."
The 18 candles are lit, but not for long as Lauren blows out the flame. She goes and looks around the clean and decorated apartment. She gives her best friend a hug when she's done and they eat cake and talk.
