Abel is in a cheery mood talking graduation with Angela, Lauren, Mike, Eric, and Jessica until Edward pops up with Bella. Abel's still not to thrilled about Edward making Emmett leave him for his own selfish reasons.
"My fellow students," Mike says as he writes something onto some small notecards he stole from Abel. "Cool. Right? Okey, right? -- Cute. We are the future. Anything is possible... if you just believe."
"Nice," Angela comments as Edward glances at Abel apologetically.
"Blah, blah, blah... Perfect." He thrusts the notecard to Jessica, the valedictorian. "And you got yourself a speech."
"No, is will be my steady when I want everyone to throw diplomas at my head." Jess crumples up the paper and throws it at Mike's face. "So... no, thank you."
"Ya gotta embrace the cliches, Jess," Mike muses.
"They are the bread and butter of all valedictorians," Eric says.
"Eric, there's a reason you're not valedictorian," Abel comments smugly and Eric pouts, making the blue-haired boy smirk.
"And Jess doesn't need cliches," Angela says. "The speech is going to be epic."
"Epic?" Jessica scoffs. "It'll change lives."
"Totally, Jess," Lauren replies. "Hey, Jess, Ang, did I tell you about my new girlfriend?"
"Girlfriend?" Angela gasps. "Who?"
"Her name is Leah," Lauren replies. "She lives down on the Quiluete reservation. It's still new, but I'm already crazy about her." She was fully on board the wolf-train as soon as Leah and Sam explained it all to her.
Just then, Alice and Jasper abruptly appear and they sit on either of side Abel. Abe steals Jasper's fries because he knows he'll never eat them and he loves this school's fries.
(this is before Michelle Obama made school lunches disgusting)
"I've decided to throw a party," Alice announces.
"After all," Jasper muses as he hands Abel the ketchup packets he also got, "how many times are we going to graduate high school?"
"God, can you imagine Alice's college-graduation celebratory parties?" Abel thinks to himself in amusement, and Edward smirks, making Abel's mood deflate epically and he eats a fry.
"A party? At your place?" Angela asks.
"Is Emmett at your house?" Abel asks Edward in his head and Edward subtly nods before Alice gets a vision.
******
"So Alice is growing you a graduation party?" Emmett asks as he and Abel sit in the den of the Cullen house.
"Yea," Abel replies. "She wants me to help her plan it."
"Did you play nice with Edward today?" Emmett asks.
"Nice enough," Abel replies.
"Good enough for me," Emmett states and kisses Abel's head, ignoring Edward when he comes inside the house.
