Summer vacation after school ends is supposed to be fun, but it can suck when you're broke with nowhere to go. But Abel had a good summer. Charlie told him he could go and spend the summer with Emmett, Rosalie, and Evan in the safari in Africa. He had a blast.

But now he's back, staring at Forks High School with disdain on the tenth of September. Today is Abel's last first day, he's a senior now. He doesn't get out of Emmett's Jeep (which Emmett is letting him drive now that he's a senior) until Alice and Jasper arrive and park beside him.

"Ready for senior year?" Alice chirps.

"How are you so excited?" Abel asks.

"I ask her that every morning when the sun rises," Jasper informs the human with his hair freshly dyed blue. "You and I are heading in now, Abel. We have AP World History together."

"Of course you get an advanced placement," Abel muses and they head inside, Alice skipping behind them happily.

"How was the first day of your senior year?" Charlie asks his nephew when he comes home after.

"It was great," Abel replies. "Bella here?"

"With Edwin," Charlie replies.

Abel smiles at what Charlie calls Edward. He goes upstairs and he flops onto his bed beside Emmett, who's been hiding out here all day, and he starts reading on the Novel they got to read in his American Literature class he has third period this year. Emmett reads alongside him while they cuddle.
