It's been a few months since then. Abel enjoys the Denali coven, he enjoys them all. Abel and Emmett talk daily and he gives her updates on Abella. Abel also talks to Bella once a week.
He is right now out hunting with Kate and Tanya because Irina mysteriously disappeared after she went to make up with the Cullens. Abel laughs with them as they go back. He pauses when he smells wet dog and sees...
"Bella!"
Bella grins. "Abel!"
The two speed toward each other and embrace while Carmen and Eleazar explain to Kate and Tanya who the child is.
"Abe, come meet your uncle," Bella urges. "Abel, this is your niece, Abella."
When Abel kneels to green his niece who looks seven, Abella reaches forward and she places her hand on his face. Her hand is as warm as a humans. Her brown eyes meet Abel's golden ones as she shows him the memories of all she's seen.
"I'm glad I left before you delivered, Bells," Abel muses. "I'd have lost it."
"I know," Bella replies. "Alice saw a vision. She explained it to me when I woke up and you were gone." She smiles. "The Volturi are coming after us. We're all gathering witnesses. Jasper and Alice left. Emmett went with Rosalie and Evan. Carlisle and Esme went to Egypt and probably a few other places. Lauren and Leah are talking to the Uley pack in La Push."
"I'll come," Abel says. "Eleazar says I'm ready to go back."
"Is he really?" Edward asks. He seems happy about Abel coming home for good and not just for this.
Eleazar nods. "He just needed to be away from humans for a while," he says. "He's good now."
"God, your hair's brown?" Edward asks when he looks at Abel.
"Carmen banned hair dying when the girls kept fighting over who would do it," Abel muses. "I'll have Emmett do it at home."
"I can," Bella says.
"Sigue con ellos, Abel," Carmen urges. "We'll follow."
Abel and his niece go to the car.
"Mommy named me after you," Abella says.
Abel smiles. "She did," he says as Jacob gets in on the other side of Bell. "God, you stink."
Jacob snorts. "Like you're any better, Abel."
The two grin at each other before Bella and Edward come back. Bella turns the radio on. Abel and Abella belt out the lyrics poorly and Jacob groans and throws his head back.
"There's two!" Jacob complains jokingly and the two vampires in the front chortle at his tone and words as Edward pulls away.
