My expression softened the moment I heard the key enter the front door, relieved more than anything else to know that Beomgyu had finally managed to make his way home, turning on the sofa to look across at him.
(A/N: That's the best Beomgyu picture I have ever fucking posted....... EVER!!!!)

"I thought you were staying at the studio for the night," I joked, only for my smile to drop.
As soon as my eyes landed on Beomgyu, I could see just how exhausted he was, there was little in his eyes, no colour, no spark, and certainly very little concentration being paid on what I was saying. I stood up from the sofa, making your way across to him slowly.
"Has your day been that bad?" I asked, stretching my hand out to loosely hold onto his.
His head nodded ever so slightly, too tired to move himself too much. I frowned back at him as he looked across at me, desperately searching in my eyes for a bit of comfort and support, knowing that no one could support him at the end of a bad day quite like I could.
"Come on," I suggested, intertwining my hand in with his, pulling Beomgyu across to the sofa, kicking my cushions away to make room for him, "why don't we just lay down for a while?"
The corners of his mouth slightly turned up, letting I know that a cuddle on the sofa was exactly what Beomgyu needed. I knew the signs, however small they were, knowing Beomgyu better than he knew himself.
"I'll take care of you," I smiled widely, laying down first so that Beomgyu could then tuck himself into my side.
His hand rested against my stomach so that he could support himself and keep his frame on the couch. "I don't know what I'd do without you," he suddenly whispered, his voice groggy.
I snaked my hand carefully around Beomgyu's waist to keep him safe too, brushing the bad of my thumb against the exposed skin of his waist where his shirt had ridden up. Beomgyu's head rested against my collarbone, nuzzling in tightly to get as much warmth as possible from me.
"Are you comfortable?" I asked down to him as Beomgyu finally stayed still, "is there anything else that I can do for you?"
His head shook, ruffling the strands of his hair, with his body screaming out to stay exactly where it was. "There is one thing that you could do for me, just to really make me comfortable, can you play with my hair please?"
Before he even finished asking his question, Beomgyu found the hand that was against his waist moving up and beginning to run through his hair. It was messy, but I didn't mind, finding the length perfect to twirl around my fingers.
"How come they ended up making you work so late tonight?" I asked, struggling to keep your eyes open at such late hours, "it's been a while since you got home at this time."
A look of frustration found its way onto Beomgyu's face, as irritated as I was by how late it was. "They just kept wanting us to go through the song again and again, we all thought it was perfect, but management seemed to have other ideas."
"I'm sorry," I smiled, scratching gently over the top of his head, "you guys are always perfect whenever I see you rehearse, sometimes I find myself wondering what your staff are actually looking for from your performances."
A slight chuckle came from Beomgyu in reply to me, "apparently Soobin wasn't turning his feet out properly, and Yeonjun had more of a reach than the rest of us during the second verse, so we had to go over it for two hours."
"Sometimes I forget that you're an idol, it sounds like the military at times," I joked.
Beomgyu hummed back to me, too tired to speak for a moment. I understood, leaning my head down slightly to press a kiss to Beomgyu's forehead, letting him know that I got exactly where he was coming from despite the small noise that came from him.
"I hate how hard you're working; I know you've got work to do, but sometimes it feels from the outside looking in that it's too much," I admitted to him, keeping my eyes on him, "I'd love to hide you away in this place sometimes."
"Don't tempt me, because I would stay," Beomgyu sniggered.
"I'm finding it hard to let you go too."
Time with me was often the sacrifice that Beomgyu had to make, he never liked it, if he was honest, he hated it, even though he knew exactly what he was signing up to as an idol.
He came home knowing that I'd be waiting up for him, keen to see him and make sure that he was alright. He reminded you time and time again that it was something that I didn't need to do, but as usual, I never listened to him.
They were all things that you knew that he would do for me too if he needed to. When I was down, tired, or just feeling like giving up on something, he was the first person by my side and motivating me again.
"Things will get better," I told him, "work will stop being so difficult soon enough."
His head tilted back so that his eyes could look up at me, holding onto the strong sincerity that Beomgyu could hear in my voice, trusting everything that I said.
"These bad times don't last forever."
"I'm sure it's just one of those days," Beomgyu agreed, offering you a weak smile, assuring me that he was feeling alright. "We've all been pushing ourselves to the limit to get this work done, I think maybe I'm just fighting with the urge to crash and burn now."
I could never understand the exhaustion that Beomgyu felt working twelve-hour days, dancing endlessly, and singing when he wasn't moving around, I was only ever left in awe at the stamina that him and the rest of the boys had.
"If you feel like crashing and burning, why don't you get some sleep?" I suggested, keeping my hand running through his hair to help him doze, "let your body recover, that's the most important thing that you can do right now."
"Will you stay with me whilst I sleep?" He asked you, "and hold onto me too?"
My head nodded as I tightened my grip around Beomgyu, pushing myself even further back onto the sofa to make enough room for me both.
Beomgyu pushed himself further too, refusing to let the distance between me grow. I couldn't help but chuckle at how tightly he clung to me, expecting nothing less from Beomgyu, knowing exactly what he was like when sleep threatened him.
"Thank you for just being there," he suddenly whispered once he was still again, "I never really appreciated the power of nothing until I met you."
I nodded once again back at Beomgyu, keeping myself quiet in the hope that he would drift off to sleep, and listen to the advice that I had given him.
