Lately - Golden child Jaehyun

A/N: I can't remember what I had dreamt last night, so let's get to it!

She had no idea what to expect when Bongjae handed her a letter to then book the complete opposite side of the campus. Curious you wanted to open the letter but she had to meet up with Seungmin to work on her final. Putting the letter in her bag it stayed stuck in her mind. What was it that Bongjae wrote her that made him so nervous for her reaction? Why couldn't he have said it or texted it to her? All thoughts she had heading to the campus coffee shop getting ready to work with Seungmin.

Entire time it was very easy to tell her brain was else where. All her thoughts where about Bongjae. What was in that letter? Is it good or bad? Everything going through your head you had no idea what to expect it was not a usual occurrence for someone to give her a letter especially from Bongjae. He had been a bit tense before so it must have been something serious right? No matter what it was giving her stomach butterflies. Seungmin had noted it and realized today might not be the best day to work on the final, plus she had over 3 or so weeks to complete it so it'd be easy to start tomorrow instead.

"Do you want to rain check? You seem to have a lot on your mind." Seungmin said with curiosity in his voice but not pushing anything from you.

"Yeah if that'd be possible it'd be dearly appreciated. I can text you about it later Min" She said moving everything from the table to respected bags saying goodbyes.

Heading back to her dorm she slide past her roommate to her bed and opened up the letter from her bag. Opening it carefully to not rip the note her cheeks went red at the first sentence.

What should I say? From the moment I saw you, my heart started to shake, in that same continuously repeating scene. It feels like I'm trapped. We only passed each other for a short while, but you stole my heart away.

Those words brought butterflies all through her body, did he really mean that? She's never had someone write her a love letter so it was incredibly endearing but foreign. She couldn't lie she had feelings for him as well, I mean he's so handsome and has a charming personality how could you not? Things started to make sense at how his face would redden when she put her hand on his arm in conversation or how he'd tense to her touch from hugs, or the way his eyes would change to a look she couldn't put a finger on when she'd smile. Everything started to make sense. She continued to read the letter with a smile filling her face, did he really feel this way about you?

What should I do to fill your eyes? I'm already only looking at you. The moment I faced you, I could feel everything stopped. I can't forget your appearance in my eyes. I want to know everything about you.

A smile filled her face, unsure if you should text him or talk to him in person she opted to write a love letter back.

You probably still didn't know how I felt leading to your letter, It's probably the same as the passing wind. If its alright can I take your heart? Without any pressure, I believe you with my feelings and senses. Push my scared heart away, my foolishness anxiously wants you even more.

Even though it's something small, its still sweet and sentiment filled. He'll get the point, she texted him if she could stop by his dorm room to which he quickly replied.

CH: Hey can I come to your dorm?

Jae: Yeah,, did you read the letter?

CH: yes thats what I want to talk about.

Getting ready she made sure to put on an outfit that she felt flattered her. Taking a deep breathe you had the letter in hand putting it in her bag as you maneuvered her way through the campus. Time felt like it went by with one blink as she found her way in front of his dorm room knocking lightly. She head a shuffling to the door and a soft opening creek from the door as a tense and visibly anxious Bongjae stared back at her. The moment he faced her, he could feel everything stopped. Today was a make or break so hell never forget her appearance in his eyes right now.

"So,,?" He said voice shaky.

"Here" She took the letter she had written from her bag and handed it to him.

"Oh." He said with hope and confusion, opening the letter he looked to her quickly after reading through every word 3 times over.

"So?" She said to him in curiosity of what could be next.

"This is your words right? This isnt a prank? I thought you liked Seungmin." He said shocked, she took his free hand in hers smiling at him.

"I reference your own letter idiot, I mean every word. I don't want this attraction to stop even if its my greed, Instead of regretting, I want to be definite. Even if it's a little scary, I bet all of my everything, in the paused time to not let you leave, I'll hold you tighter. Even if we're in the same time, slowly, even if it's just once, I want to try holding your hands more like this." She said squeezing his hand. Filling her eyes with his pretty smile looking at her fondly.

"I'd like to hold your hands like this more as well, would you like to come inside? We could watch a movie or something." He said red flushing his cheeks.

"Of course."
