A/N: I don't know what I dreamt about last night, but my time of month has come to ruin my day once again..... such a fucking pain if you ask me!
Anyway, I've got some excellent news, so stay tuned!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was never your intention to become a gymnast in university, but here you were. As a child your mother put you in gymnastics because you were rambunctious and full of energy. After a while your parents realized that you'd keep flipping off of things in the house no matter how many times they told you not to. So as a 4 year old you were put in a kiddie gymnastics class that met twice a week. For the most part, you did it for fun, but as the years went on and you started competing in the meets at your gym, you realized how much you loved it. Once you won your first gold medal at a meet in elementary school, you were hooked. On top of that, your coaches recognized your talent and the way you excelled through the levels at your gym compared to most of the other girls your age.
By the time you were 11 you were a junior elite gymnast, and by 16 you were a senior elite. You qualified for a spot on the national gymnastics team to represent your country, but decided not to. You were friends with a girl on the team and seeing the pressure she was under wasn't worth it to you. No matter how hard your coaches pressured you, you never gave in. Gymnastics was supposed to be something fun and even at the elite level it was starting to become less fun the older you got. As a result, you quit right after you entered university.
Your roommate and best friend, Yizhuo, was a gymnast on the university's team and she knew who you were before you even met her. She dropped subtle hints here and there about you becoming a gymnast for the school and competing within the NCAA because she knew you would fit right in with the rest of the team. However, you insisted that you lost your touch when you quit.
In an effort to prove you wrong, your roommate asked her coach if she'd watch you do a few things and decide if you were fit for the team. You agreed under the impression that after one failed tumbling pass that you'd be stopped and excused, and that'd be it. One thing led to another and you ended up on the team after nailing an easier tumbling pass and an old beam routine from when you used to compete. Since then you were ranked first in the all-around competition in your first season.
You are now in your second year and the season was in full swing, you'd already made it through halfway, leaving the rest of the season to gather up your medals. Due to it being a new season, you added a little change to some events in an effort to gain more points. Despite beam being your least favorite, your coach somehow managed to convince you to modify your routine. She claimed it was to get you to like the event more and raise your expectations for yourself, but you simply chalked it up to be her wanting you to make more effort. On top of a modified beam routine, you were also doing a new vault. Since you were a little girl vault was your favorite event. Solely because it was a one and done type of thing, once you did it, it was over. There was no extra passes or choreography to do, just run, hands on the table, flip through the air, and stick it. Yes, it was more involved than that, but you preferred it over all of the other events easily.
Gently someone removed the headphones from your head, you turned around saw your girlfriend, "Hey, how are you feeling? Okay?" Jimin knew how nervous you could get before a competition, so she always did what she could to make you feel better.
(A/N: Doesn't she look so fucking cool?!?!)
