He was the friend of a friend, and he seemed very normal on the surface. Sure, he had a lot of tattoos, and was relatively quiet, but that didn't make him strange, at least not at first glance. Nobody could tell the tattoos were symbols that represented his practice, and nobody could tell he was quiet because he was always observing his surroundings – more specifically: me.
His friends called him Ravi, so that's what I called him.
(A/N: Doesn't he look fucking fine?)

However, every time his nickname came from your mouth, he looked slightly...off, like he was in pain. Secretly, he just wanted me to say his name, but only those who were really close with him ever called him that; those who knew what he did in his spare time.
Wonshik was adopted into a family that believed a lot in voodoo. It was something he'd seen ever since he was a child, and he learned how to perfect it through his grandmother. He was always told as a child to not talk about voodoo in school, but he mentioned it to a few friends he thought he could trust. They teased him and spread it to other students, and he soon became the target of harrassment and bullying. Ever since then, he'd worked to use it for personal gain.
His favorite thing to use were the dolls. He could do whatever he wanted to the victim without them ever knowing it was him. He'd keep the dolls hid in his locker or backpack, doing whatever he pleased whenever he pleased. For once in his life, he felt like he had full control.
His family had found out about him abusing the voodoo, and disowned him after high school. Did Wonshik care? No. In his mind, his family was dead to him. He managed to make it on his own, going to college and making new friends that he never mentioned his practice to. He always felt cold toward everyone, even his friends who he was supposed to trust.
That is, until he saw me.
My bright smile warmed his heart immediately, and my twinkling laugh made his body tingle in a way he'd never felt before. It was something about me that made him feel like he had something good in his life. The only problem was that he didn't really have me in his life. He was the friend of a friend, and I hardly ever spoke to him.
"Ravi!" his friend's voice broke him from his thoughts, realizing he had spaced out staring at the menu of the diner. "Do you know what you want?"
He looked up from the laminated paper, his eyes finding you first, before shifting to his friend, and then the waiting waitress. "Uh, burger and fries."
The slim girl jotted down the order before collecting the menus and walking away. Sitting across from him were me and Hakyeon – Hakyeon was giving Ravi a concerned look while I absentmindedly played with the napkins.
