Chapter 36: Tatsumi vs Kaizoku

"These two are still alive." Tatsumi said. "But they'll need a doctor. If you want to help them, grab them and get off this planet."

"No Tatsumi!" Esdeath shouted. "Kill them now while you still have the chance."

"No. I've made my point." Tatsumi said. "This fight is over. They aren't a threat to anyone like this."

"This can't be fucking real..." Sidii trembled. "We're unstoppable; the one and only Zoku Force. We are hands down the toughest, meanest group of warriors ever assembled. A fucking force of nature, nobody outclasses us, so how did this low power level weakling do this? Damn it!! He's beating us to a bloody pulp... and there's not a damn thing I can do about it... not on my own!!!"

Sidii then flew away back to Kaizoku.

"Really? He's just going to leave his friends behind." Tatsumi said. 

Esdeath then out of nowhere came down and broke Buldak's neck, killing him instantly. Esdeath then blasted Dabba which killed him as well.

"Seriously Esdeath?" Tatsumi said. "I said we didn't have to worry about them anymore."

"They got exactly what they deserved." Esdeath said. "Those bastards weren't redeemable. Plus, you let the last one get away... that's a flaw an Imperial God would never make."

"Imperial God?" Tatsumi questioned.

"What good is all that power if you can't finish the job, Tatsumi." Esdeath said. "You're still an assassin, aren't you? You won't beat Torosu like that not even if you were immortal. He will chew you up and spit you out."

"Look, I don't like to brag." Tatsumi said. "But I think I've gotten just as strong as person can get and you're saying this Torosu guy is going to beat me easily?"

"Effortlessly." Esdeath said as walked to Tatsumi and placed a hand on his cheek. "Please don't overestimate your own abilities, my darling. Torosu's power is incomprehensible."

"Oh, come on Esdeath." Chelsea said. "You've got to be embellishing just a little bit, right? We saw how strong these Zoku guys were and Tatsumi beat them easily, how much tougher could Torosu be, like for real?"

"I don't see any of you willing to take him on." Esdeath replied. "At any rate, he's obtained all eight Rongo Books which means he's probably gained immortality by now. Any thoughts of defeating him are sheer delusions at this point. The best we can hope for is not to run into him."

"I don't think Torosu got his wish granted yet." Chelsea said.

"What do you mean? Why not?" Esdeath said.

"Well, if the Rongo Books on Zulo are anything like the ones on earth then we should have sensed their energy. The Rongo Books are made with Murasame's poison and dark energy that power unmistakable." Chelsea said. "We would've seen the demonic entities that comes out of the Rongo Books."

"You're saying something actually comes out of the Zulian's Rongo Books?!" Esdeath said.

"Of course! It makes perfect sense." Tatsumi said. "Torosu has no idea what the password is. He probably thought his wish was going to be granted as soon as all eight Rongo Books were brought together."

"Password?" Esdeath said.

"We can still get our wish granted guys." Leone said.

"If we get moving, we can bring everyone back just as we promised." Tatsumi said.

With Kaizoku:

"Are you being fucking serious?" Kaizoku said. "Burt, Dabba and Buldak have all been taken out?"
