In the ten days leading up to the tournament, Lord Priest built a lookout hundreds of feet above the Path of Peace Church for Megan where she was watching over the earth.
"Just let the vibrations wash over you, Megan." Lord Priest said.
"I feel the power from them." Megan said.
At the Arena:
Everyone watched in disbelief as Tatsumi and Vain's battle continued.
"This is fucking nuts!" Lubbock said.
"I've never seen anything like this." Sheele said.
"I'd like to call the play by play but uh..." the announcer said.
Vain then jabbed at Tatsumi repeatedly.
"Tatsumi!" Chelsea screamed.
Tatsumi managed counter Vain and kick him to the air. Tatsumi chased after him but Vain dodged his attack, Tatsumi then evaded Vain as well. They both dodged each other and over.
"So, does anyone know where they went?" the announcer said.
Tatsumi the drove a knee into Vain abdomen but his follow up attack was countered by Vain with an elbow to the face bringing them to a stalemate.
"Most impressive Tatsumi." Vain said. "It seems you will be providing me with even more entertainment than I thought."
"Oh really?" Tatsumi said.
"This is what a true battle should feel like." Vain said. "Now, shall we continue?"
Tatsumi and Vain continued onslaught in the air.
At Tatsumi's village:
"It's heating up now." Tomas said.
"That's for sure." Gemma said. "It's getting heavy out there."
At the Arena:
"Look at them. It's insane." Najenda said.
Tatsumi caught Vain with a kick to the face but Vain immediately responded by driving Tatsumi down to the ring and to the egde.
Tatsumi frantically evaded Vain while standing at the literal edge of the ring.
"Dad. Be careful." TJ mumbled.
"No Tatsumi! Don't ring out!" Wave cringed.
Tatsumi managed to get by Vain and kicked him in the back of the head but Vain rushed at him and the both of them landed on a punch simultaneously.
Tatsumi then leapt to the air but Vain appeared behind him causing Tatsumi to stop and tun to face him.
"This is a magnificent battle." Vain said. "It would be a shame for it to end over something so trivial like going out of bounds. From now on, we won't count that as a disqualifying factor. Which means the ring has outlived its usefulness.
Vain the pointed his hand to the ground below.
"Hold on. What are you trying to do?" Tatsumi asked skeptically.
The realization then hit Tatsumi.
"GUYS!! GET AWAY FROM THE RING NOW!!! VAIN'S ABOUT TO DESTROY IT!!" Tatsumi screamed.
Vain then destroyed the ring in a single shot. Leaving nothing but a dust cloud and a giant crater in the ground.
"Close one." Run sighed.
Drone #6 managed to save Takato Sai, the announcer and the cameraman.
"Thank you very much." the announcer said.
