"That massive power keeps on rising at an alarming rate." Akame thought. "This Torosu is every bit the monster that we were told."
Akame then sensed a fading energy signal and heading towards it.
"A fading power source, who is that?" Akame said.
Akame approached what was causing the energy spike and was shocked at the sight at her feet.
It was a bloody and severely beaten Evan, who was barely holding on to life.
"An actual Zulian..." Akame thought to herself.
"You... must be the... warrior I was told about..." Evan coughed. "If so then... I'm glad I was able... to help..."
"Well, thanks for your contribution." Akame said. "I must be going now."
"Wait please..." Evan coughed out. "You may be our strongest hope yet but, you'll fare no better against Torosu as I did and as you can see, I didn't fare well."
"With all due respect, don't underestimate my power. I know a fight where I'm outclassed and this one, I'm heading towards isn't one of them." Akame said.
"That's where you're wrong." Evan argued. "Torosu isn't even using his full power yet."
"Obviously, even an amateur can sense that." Akame said, again starting fly away.
"But his true power is severely horrifying." Evan said. "I know a way you can close that power gap between you."
"How so?" Akame said with skepticism.
"Merge my power with yours." Evan said.
"What?" Akame with widened eyes.
On the Battlefield:
Torosu was raising his power to uncharted heights. Leaving Esdeath and the others in horror.
The world around them was shaking to the point where it was almost impossible to stand.
Back with Akame and Evan:
"I highly urge you to accept this offer, I won't last much longer." Evan said. "Please, you only need to place a hand on me. I swear on my life, only my strength will be absorbed by you."
"You're not lying, are you?" Akame asked.
"What would I gain out of lying?" Evan replied. "I know you can feel Torosu's power."
After contemplating her situation, Akame agreed to merge with Evan.
"Okay, fine. Just make it quick." Akame said.
"Of course." Evan said.
Akame then placed a hand on Evan and within seconds Evan began glowing a blinding light.
When Akame finally opened her eyes, Evan was gone.
"Damn it, my eyes!" Akame said as she furiously rubbed her eyes.
After feeling her newfound powers coursing through her, Akame then made a beeline towwards the battlefield with a huge smile on her face.
"I'll be the one who makes you feel the true meaning of the word wrath, Torosu!" Akame said.
On the Battlefield:
Torosu was nowhere near done showing off his terrifying power.
He then began to unleash a barrage of energy beams at Esdeath who seemingly dodged with no effort.
Leone managed to grab TJ and Megan as she and Chelsea hid behind a boulder.
"Hey guys, Esdeath is going to get killed at this rate, let's go for broke." Chelsea suggested.
