"Keep glaring kid. It won't help." Vain said.
Vain then leapt to the air and began firing blasts at TJ who dodged frantically. Vain then ambushed TJ through the smoke and jabbed him a few times as TJ tried to fight back and dodged.
"Any more of this and the kid's lost." Lubbock said.
"Don't say that." Wave said.
Vain's speed began overwhelming TJ.
"Pathetic child. At least you have your father to blame for putting you into this mess." Vain said.
"TJ!!" Akame screamed.
Vain then blasted TJ into nearby rocks.
"Like nothing." Seryu said.
"Maybe I overdid it a little." Vain said. "A little harsh maybe but what's done is done."
"The first causality of this tournament is a mere child." The announcer said.
"Damn it! Why didn't you listen to us Tatsumi!" Najenda said. "We all warned you this would happen! You just got your own son killed!"
"Relax boss." Tatsumi said. "TJ's power didn't drop at all."
"He's right." Future TJ said.
"You've had your fun. Enough of this." Vain said. "Eat a pill. You're the only one here I'm interested in, Tatsumi."
"Then who's that behind you?" Tatsumi said.
"Oh please." Vain scoffed as turned around.
TJ then exploded out of the rubble with blood flowing from his mouth and forehead and marched back towards Vain.
"Seems I've taken your resilience for granted kid." Vain said.
"Stop this now or I will get serious." TJ demanded.
"Who do you think you're talking to?" Vain laughed. "Your seriousness doesn't change anything."
"I will kill you if I have to, Vain." TJ said. "I am my father's son, and I will prove that by ending you."
"Heh, you thinking you can actually kill me is absurd." Vain chuckled. "You couldn't put a dent in me if I stood here motionless."
"You're wrong." TJ said. "There's a serious reason why my dad said I was the only one who could beat you. I know what he means by that."
"By all means, enlighten me." Vain said.
"For as long as I can remember, whenever I got real mad things would happen around me that I couldn't explain. It first happened when that Tuffle named Ryzer came to earth and attacked us. Then when I was training with Aunt Akame and Leone, then we flew to Planet Zulo and had to deal with Torosu. Whenever I lost my temper, something snapped and this hidden power that I didn't know I had was unleashed. And now since I have Incursio as one of my power sources, if I were to lose control like that there's no telling how powerful I'd become. That's the reason my dad picked me. He knew if this battle pushes me over the edge, I will kill you."
Vain then began laughing.
"Fascinating story but unwise to tell." Vain said. "Let's say it's true about your reserves of power but I'm the type who want to see it first-hand!"
Vain then punched TJ, then kicked him to the ground and pressed his foot to his head.
"What are you waiting for? Surprise me." Vain said.
"TJ!" Chelsea said.
"That it Tatsumi! You're the one who Vain's wants!" Run said. "Get the hell out there!"
