Chapter 64: Tatsumi vs Drone #9

"Did I hear you right? You said they can siphon energy?" Lubbock said.

"Yeah. I don't know how they did it exactly but when got a hold of me, my power just started dropping like you wouldn't believe." Wave said.

"What kind of technology can pull that off?" Mine said. "Professor Rumi really is a mad genius if his designs are capable of doing shit like that." 

"Come on we have to warn dad and the other before they start fighting!" TJ said.

"You're out of your mind if you think I'm going back there." Wave said. "Those things tossed me around like a ragdoll. I'm damn lucky to be alive."

"Well, suit yourself. We're going." Lubbock said. 

"Lubbock here." Mine said as she tossed the bag of Health Pills to Lubbock.

TJ and Lubbock flew off to Tatsumi and the others.

"This is crazy. They don't know what they're up against. I just practiced for those bastards."  Wave said.

"Come on, Wave. You were just off guard." Mine said.

"Yeah, because I let my guard down." Wave said. "Kurome was right. I won't last long in battles if don't get my shit together."

"Kurome also wouldn't want you to be moping and crying about it either." Mine said. "She would tell you to get your ass up and get back out there."

Wave then looked at Mine.

"Last time I checked, you were a soldier." Mine said. "Now get out there."

"Yeah. You're right." Wave said. "It was just a lucky shot!"

Wave then flew after TJ and Lubbock.

"You're quite the motivational speaker, Mine." Nea said. 

"Well, it helps when you have a child to motivate." Mine chuckled.

The Techno-Drones were still trailing after Tatsumi with Night Raid and the Jaegers following as well.

Drone #10 then looked down at all the islands below him.

"I see no good reason for traveling any further." Drone #10 said. 

Tatsumi ignored him, but the Drones stopped.

"Enough, you are wasting time." Drone #10 said. "This location will be adequate for our purposes."

Tatsumi, Night Raid, the Jaegers, Merriad and the Techno-Drones flew down to an island below.

"A pretty flat terrain. But it is surrounded by rocky hills, I guess they plan on hiding if they need to and attack from there." Najenda said. "Everyone, stay on your guard."

Everyone nodded in response.

With TJ, Lubbock, and Wave:

"Not good. They're keeping their energy on the down low until the fighting starts." Wave said. "How are we supposed to fine them?"

"Tatsumi! Where are you!" Lubbock shouted.

With Night Raid, the Jaegers, Merriad, and the Techno-Drones:

"Alright before we get into things here, tell me how you two know about us." Tatsumi said while breathing heavily.

"Something's off. Why's Tatsumi out of breath? All we've done so far is fly." Akame thought as she was looking at Tatsumi.

"If you wish, I'll tell you." Drone #10 said. "But I'd doubt you'll take much comfort in the story, Tatsumi."

"You see, using a fleet of miniature surveillance cameras, we've kept a close watch on you, Sayo and Ieyasu for some time. But mainly you for the most part." Drone #10 said. " Firstly, any world martial arts tournaments you three competed in, the battles with Daimao, Vali, and Eieser when you were a mere child. Even those of your own Tuffle race. Every single Night Raid member has been watched as well. In short, we've cataloged your progress specifically as a warrior. We've noted every milestone. Everything with Night Raid as well. You've been studied with an eye towards our best to beat you on half of the Gold Diamond Nation."
