EDEN ALMOST FELT it all crumble. She spent the past few months burying feelings, and she was successful. Until Bonnie came and wrecked it for her.

"Eden.."Isaac trailed.

"No, Isaac. You don't get to stand here and defend them. The past three months have been spent catering to Elena and finding this god forsaken cure and Silas, who's still running around terrorizing us.  Now you all are talking about Eliza being alive. For fucks sake, one problem at a time!" Eden broke down as she finished her rant, her emotions finally catching up to her.

Isaac came to his little sister's rescue, enveloping her into his arms. "I will fix this. We will get Liz back. I promise you."

"How, Isaac? How the fuck are you gonna bring back the most powerful supernatural being to exist with no fucking magic? Huh? You have a secret talent I don't know about? Enlighten me!" Eden broke herself out of his grip, now fuming.

"Calm down, Eden! When have you known me to break a promise to you?" Isaac shouted back. "I have been more than patient with you but you act like you're the only one who lost her. She was my best friend and she was my mother first! Keep acting like a kid if you want but the adults are bringing our mother back. Don't come back if you're gonna keep being a dick about it." Isaac turned away from her, heading back to the house leaving her in a frozen stupor.

ALLISON ARGENT GRIPPED the steering wheel of her battered old sedan as it rumbled down the winding road leading back to Beacon Hills. The moon hung high and full, casting a silver sheen over the landscape, but its light did little to brighten the shadow in her heart. Her mind was still reeling from the loss of her sister, Eliza, and each mile felt like a crushing weight on her chest.

The crackling of the car's radio broke the silence, and suddenly, the haunting chords of Evanescence's "Everybody's Fool" filled the car. Allison's voice, raw and strained from three months of nonstop tears, joined the song as she sang along. The melody, though melancholic, was oddly comforting, like a grieving hymn for her shattered world.

"Look here she comes now, Bow down and stare in wonder." She sang, her voice trembling as she tried to push away the heavy grief that had settled over her.

She was so absorbed in the song and the blurry lines of the road that the unexpected buzz of her phone almost made her swerve. She fumbled to grab it from the passenger seat, her fingers clumsy with emotion. The name on the screen made her heart skip a beat.

"Elena," she whispered, voice catching.

"Hey, Allison," Elena's voice came through the speaker, calm but laced with an urgency that made Allison's pulse quicken. "I know it's late, and I'm sorry to call you like this, but I have something you need to hear."
