"HONEY, ARE YOU sure you want to do this? Your hair is so long and beautiful." The hairdresser complimented, a bit of a frown on her lips.

"Yeah. I need a change." Eliza grimaced, just wanting the lady to do her job.

Unwillingly, Klaus sat in chair next to her. He wanted to make sure she didn't try anything and also to make sure she got what she wanted. The people in New Hampshire seem to be so pretentious about their hair.

"Are you a hundred percent sure? You may regret this." The lady tried to coach her.

"Listen, lady. Do what what she wants before I rip into your carotid." Klaus threatened in a whisper, making eye contact with her. The woman nodded hastily, running to go get the products needed.

"You're so mean." Eliza huffed, opening a magazine.

"By the time we finished here, we will have missed Troy." Klaus grumbled.

"You'll be just fine." Eliza rolled her eyes.

FOUR MONTHS LATER.

"RUDY!" a blonde woman yelled as she stepped out of her house. "Rudy, come on! It's too hot to make me come looking for you!"

She bent down to whistle for the pet, turning towards the house. She swiveled around, jumping when she stumbled upon a couple before her. It was a blonde man, arm curled comfortably around a ginger's waist. The two wore matching smiles on their faces.

"I'm so sorry—" Klaus began in a faux American accent. "We didn't mean to scare you."

"Can I help you?" the blonde woman inquired.

"Actually, yes." Eliza smiled, putting her British accent to use.

"Our car broke down a couple of miles back. My wife and I have been walking for what feels like hours, and she's been complaining about her heels," Klaus added, gesturing to Eliza's white boots. "We were hoping if we could use your phone?"

"Don't you two have cell phones?"

"Yeah," Klaus pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. "Both of ours ran out of battery. Look, we promise we're not serial killers— we just want to use your phone."
