Zayd's POV
I wish everything were just a dream, but no, it's all true! I feel so betrayed that she's the one giving me those embarrassing moments. Yet, I also did a lot of things to her. Now, I'm confused if all the things she's showing me are just fake or not. I left her house after knowing it, avoiding her for a day.
It's Tuesday, and I've just avoided her for one day. There's a place in my heart missing her.
“Bakit hindi mo kausapin?”
“See, you've already fallen without knowing, Zayd.” I know Brian. “Pero hindi pa rin dapat mo siya iwasan.”
“Takte, to,” natatawang sabi ni Archi. “Pero true. Kung may misunderstanding kayo, communication is the key.”
“Do you still want to meet her after what she did to you? She's playing with your fate, Zayd.”
“AHHH!”
“Are you fine, bro?”
“Yeah, just some headache. I'll go to the clinic.” I reasoned out even though I don't feel ill. It's just that freaking voice. “You guys can practice while I'm in the clinic.”
“Sabihan nalang namin si Yuna kung pupunta siya dito!” Archi yelled at me when I already go out from the music room.
After reaching the clinic, I put my name in the nurse logbook. I lay down on one of the beds, looking at the white ceiling. “Do you think she would like someone who bullied her for years? Is she just taking her revenge on you?”
“SHUT UP!”
“Ayos ka lang ba?” the nurse said as she rushed to me.
“I'm sorry. I just have a severe headache.”
“Okay, bibigyan nalang kita ng gamot. Kumain ka naman siguro?”
I nodded at her for her question. She got medicine and gave it to me with water. I fell asleep after taking it.
I woke up almost at lunch, my phone vibrating non-stop. I saw an email sent to me. I checked it out and found that we will debut as a band next year. I rushed to the musical room and saw the two jumping from excitement.
“Bro! We will be a band!”
It's the most awaited email for almost 4 years. Now it's finally approved. I wish dad would allow it.
“Finally our dream!” Brian still can't believe. Even myself.
The day smoothly ends, and still, I didn't see Yuna and cannot even talk to her.
“HAHAHA, why are you celebrating so much? Did you remember that your father never supported your band? What if she's doing this to make you suffer? Letting you know that you will soon debut but actually preparing a big wave for you!”
“SHUT UP! WHOEVER YOU ARE! YOU'RE NOT THE ONE WHO KNOWS MY FATE! SO FREAKING SHUT UP!”
“You never know, Zayd.”
I punched my wall after hearing that. What if he's saying is true? 'No, Zayd, you know you deserve it. The things she did.' I feel the blood flow at my fingers. I just look at it; I want someone to take care of it.
Afterwards, I hear my phone ring. With excitement, I answered the call that I thought was Yuna. “Zayd, I heard the news that you will debut with Archi and Brian as a band.”
“Yes father. We can still reject the debut—”
“Go for it. I know you love playing music more than business. Continue your dreams. Make us proud with your song to the future where you will stand on stage.”
Those words warmed my heart. It's my first time hearing this from him. He always told me to stop my fantasies and start a business. For the first time, I felt my tears. Now, it's not because of sadness or anger but happiness that I couldn't describe.
“Also, I met this girl. She's the one who told me those. She told me a story about how awesome you are playing your guitar. I would like to meet her more. Is she your girlfriend?”
'Yuna.'
