Davina smiled warmly, despite the gravity of the situation. "Hi," she said simply, her voice carrying the weight of what was to come.

Mike stepped forward, his hand resting gently on Alexa's shoulder as he guided her inside. "Good to see you again, Axel. We're ready to help however we can."

Alexa, her bright eyes taking in the grandeur of the compound, looked up at her grandfather with a mix of awe and determination. "Hi, Grandpa," she said, her voice tinged with excitement. "Mom says we're going to do something really important."

Axel smiled, bending down to give Alexa a quick hug. "That's right, Alexa. We're going to do something very important. Thank you for coming to help us."

Davina, still standing at the threshold, glanced at her husband. "Mike, could you take Alexa to the sitting room? I need to discuss a few things with my family."

Mike nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Of course. Come on, Alexa. Let's go find some snacks, okay?"

Alexa, her curiosity piqued, nodded eagerly. "Okay, Dad. But you promise you'll tell me what's happening later, right?"

"Of course, sweetheart," Mike said, leading her down the hall. "I'll explain everything later."

With a final nod, Davina turned back to Axel, Hayley, and Freya, her expression shifting from warm to resolute. She stepped inside, her demeanor all business as she prepared to discuss the fate of the Hollow.

Freya closed the door behind them, the heavy wood thudding shut with a finality that echoed through the quiet halls. They moved back towards the study, their footsteps a soft, urgent rhythm against the stone floor.

Once inside, Davina's eyes took in the array of magical artifacts and ancient texts that cluttered the room. She turned to her family, her expression serious. "I brought everything we'll need for the spell. We have to make sure it's flawless. One mistake, and the Hollow could break free again."

Hayley nodded, her face set in determination. "We can't let that happen. We have to get rid of the Hollow once and for all."

Axel, his gaze steady on his daughter, said, "We've been working on the binding spell, but we need your expertise to finalize it. We can't afford any slip-ups."

Davina moved to the table, her eyes scanning the intricate diagrams and runes laid out before her. "I'll do everything I can to make sure this works. The Hollow has caused too much pain already. It's time we put an end to it."

The big library in the Mikaelson house was full of really old books and cool stuff. The shelves went all the way up to the really high ceiling. When the light from the chandeliers moved, it made the dust look like it was dancing, and everything looked kind of magical.

Axel, Hayley, Freya, and Davina gathered around a large oak table, its surface covered in a haphazard array of open books, scrolls, and spell diagrams. The room was filled with the soft rustle of turning pages and the low murmur of voices as they searched for a solution to their latest problem.

Freya, her brow furrowed in concentration, traced a line of runes on a parchment in front of her. "If we're going to transfer the Hollow's power into Aurora, we need someone capable of siphoning magic. Normal witches won't be able to handle this level of power."

Davina, flipping through a thick volume of spells, looked up with a question in her eyes. "How do we find a siphoner witch? They're rare, and we don't have much time."

Hayley, who had been silently pondering their predicament, suddenly looked up with a thoughtful expression. "The headmistress and headmaster of the Salvatore Boarding School have two siphoner daughters. If anyone can help us, it's them."

Axel's eyes widened in surprise. "Do you think they'd be willing to let their daughters help? This is incredibly dangerous."

Hayley gave him a knowing smile. "Probably. You guys have a bit of history with the headmistress, and I think we can convince her to help."

Axel's curiosity was piqued. "Who's the headmistress?"

Hayley hesitated for a moment, then said, "Caroline Forbes. She runs the school with Alaric."

The name struck Axel like a blow to the chest, memories of a past he had tried to bury surfacing with sudden intensity. Caroline, the woman he had once loved and lost, now played a crucial role in their plan. He glanced at Hayley, his face a mix of shock and nostalgia. "Caroline is the headmistress?"

Hayley nodded, her expression understanding. "I know it's been a long time, Axel, but she's our best shot at finding the help we need."

Even though a part of Axel missed Caroline, he knew that his family's safety had to come first. He squared his shoulders, determination hardening his resolve. "We need those siphoners. Talk to Caroline, convince her to help us. We don't have any other choice."

Hayley placed a comforting hand on his arm, her eyes filled with empathy. "I'm on it. I'll go see her right now." She gave him a reassuring squeeze before turning to leave the room.

Axel watched her go, his thoughts a tangled mess of old wounds and new resolve. He turned back to Freya, who was already preparing to move to the next phase of their plan. "Freya, we need to get Aurora's body ready. Make sure everything is in place for the transfer."

Freya nodded, her expression serious. "I'll make the necessary preparations. We need to be ready as soon as the siphoners arrive." She gathered a few supplies and left the room, her footsteps echoing softly in the quiet hall.

Davina, sensing the turmoil in her father's heart, stepped closer and gave him a sad smile. "How are you holding up, Dad?"

Axel sighed, his shoulders sagging slightly under the weight of his emotions. "I could be better, but this is more important. We have to stop the Hollow, no matter what it takes."

Davina's smile softened, a mixture of empathy and sadness in her eyes. "If Caroline does show up, you don't have to see her if you don't want to. I can handle it."

Axel gave a weary chuckle, shaking his head. "It's been a long time, Davina. I've moved on. Caroline has too. It's just... unexpected."

But deep down, Axel knew he hadn't fully let go of the past. Seeing Caroline again would stir up old memories, and he wasn't sure if he was ready to face them. However, he also understood that their mission was bigger than his personal feelings. Caroline had moved on with her life, and now it was time for him to do the same.

Davina placed a reassuring hand on his arm. "I know it's hard, but we'll get through this. We always do."

Axel nodded, giving her a small, grateful smile. "Thanks, Davina. Let's get back to work. We've got a lot to do."

As they returned to their books and scrolls, a sense of determination filled the room. They were racing against time, each second bringing them closer to the confrontation that would decide their fate.

The next few hours were a blur of activity, the room buzzing with the energy of their preparations. Outside, the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting long shadows across the compound and shrouding it in an eerie twilight.

Just as they were about to take a short break, a soft knock echoed through the library, followed by the creak of the door opening.
