-10 years later-

"Ed, can you lend me a hand here for a second?" Cora called out, beckoning for her husband, who promptly rushed into their kitchen.

"What is it, love?" he asked, standing attentively beside her, ready to assist.

"Can you help me bring these dishes to the dining room?" she huffed, indicating the assortment of food she'd readied, aware that Peter, Susan, Lucy, their parents, their cousin Eustace, and her mother would soon arrive to celebrate Christmas with them.

"Sure, love," he responded warmly, planting a tender kiss on her lips before offering his assistance. Together, they carried the dishes, preparing for the joyous gathering ahead.

After they finished setting up the dishes, Cora surveyed the dining table, contemplating if there was anything else she might add. Before she could dwell further, Ed enveloped his wife in a tender embrace, his arms encircling her waist.

"Love, relax," he murmured reassuringly, sensing her tension as she let out a sigh.

"I just want this to be perfect," she admitted with a hint of concern.

"It's more perfect than you think," he countered softly, before gently pivoting her to face him, his eyes meeting hers in a comforting gaze.

"Just... Relax, inhale, and exhale," Ed advised, demonstrating the calming technique, prompting a chuckle from Cora as she observed her husband.

With a playful grin adorning his face, Ed leaned towards his wife, capturing her lips with his own, her arms instinctively wrapping around his neck as they shared a tender moment.

Their intimate moment was abruptly halted by the resonating chime of the doorbell echoing through the house, prompting them to swiftly disengage.

"I'll get that," Cora quickly volunteered, darting towards the front door and swinging it open, revealing the grinning figure of the blond Pevensie.

"Hello there, Pete. Merry Christmas!" she exclaimed, her joy palpable as she greeted Peter with a side hug. Lucy and Susan trailed behind Peter, prompting Cora to release him and warmly embrace the Pevensie girls, exchanging greetings with them.

"Come in," Ed invited, trailing close behind Cora, and warmly welcomed his siblings into their house.

Eustace, sporting a grin, emerged from behind them, his enthusiasm evident as he joined the gathering. Cora's face lit up at the sight of Edmund's cousin.
