The prospect of hosting the Pevensies and Eustace at my house for a week filled me with excitement and anticipation.

My mother had arranged a guest room for Edmund and Eustace to share, ensuring their comfort during their stay.

Meanwhile, Lucy and I settled into my room, ready to share stories, laughter, and the nostalgia of our shared experiences in Narnia.

"Oh, and by the way," Lucy shared excitedly, "Peter's planning to visit England next month. He mentioned guiding us on a trip to America. Would you be interested in joining?"

"Really?" I exclaimed, a broad grin spreading across my face as she nodded in affirmation before adding, "It's a shame Susan won't be able to make it, citing prior commitments. However, it's intriguing that Professor Kirke will join Peter."

"Professor Kirke? I haven't seen him since our time back at the mansion," I remarked, a sense of nostalgia coloring my words as I recalled our past encounters with the enigmatic Professor.

As we sat in our room, the sound of Edmund and Eustace bickering filtered through the walls. I let out a sigh, exchanging a knowing glance with Lucy.

"Boys," I muttered, prompting a giggle from her in response.

"They've been at it since morning," Lucy remarked, shaking her head in mild amusement before settling down beside me.

As the night wore on, the household had fallen into a deep slumber, while I remained still on my bed, careful not to disturb Lucy with any movements.

The room was enveloped in darkness, illuminated only by the soft glow of moonlight filtering through my window, casting gentle shadows across the familiar space.

Carefully rising from my bed, mindful not to disturb the sleeping Pevensie girl, I ventured out of my room in pursuit of a soothing cup of hot chocolate to lull me into sleep.

My night slippers made muffled contact with the cold wooden floor as I descended the stairs towards the kitchen.

Similar to my room, darkness cloaked the kitchen, with only the moon's gentle radiance offering faint illumination, guiding my path through the peaceful silence of the night.

As I prepared the hot chocolate, a sudden sound from behind startled me, causing me to swiftly turn around.

There stood Edmund, the brunette Pevensie, dressed in his nightwear.

"You scared me, Edmund," I whispered softly, cautious not to disturb the quiet atmosphere, my hand instinctively resting on my chest as I exhaled deeply.

"I'm sorry, love," he whispered back, his voice carrying enough for me to hear. He closed the distance between us, enveloping me in his embrace, his hands encircling my waist.
