In the reflection staring back at me, I observed the delicate yet striking ensemble that adorned my figure with a sense of grace and poise.
The baby pink dress draped me in a mesmerizing elegance, its soft, flowing fabric falling gracefully past my knees, gently kissing the ground, and stopping just below my ankles. The dress, with its off-shoulder design and long sleeves, offered a modest yet alluring silhouette. Intricate floral lace adorned the neckline and hem, adding an ethereal charm to the garment's delicate design.
Complementing the elegant attire was the transformation of my usual waves and curls. My signature white locks had been straightened, now flowing effortlessly down my back in a sleek and refined cascade. The straightened strands added a touch of sophistication and refinement, creating a contrast to the usual playful bounce and liveliness of my natural curls.
As I stood there, the longer baby pink dress gracefully draped around me, exuding an air of refined beauty and sophistication. The straightened white locks, in their newfound sleekness, offered an unexpected but captivating contrast, completing an ensemble that felt both enchanting and empowering.
As I made my way through the serene corridor, the echoing clink of my heels filled the otherwise quiet space. Lost in thought, I rounded a corner, only to stumble into Caspian's path.
"Woah, hey," he exclaimed with a sheepish smile, clearly caught off guard. I couldn't help but smile in return, the unexpected encounter momentarily breaking the solemnity of the moment.
"Hey, there, Casp," I greeted, continuing my stride down the corridor with him following close behind. "Are you ready for your speech to the Telmarines as their king now?"
He chuckled but seemed a bit nervous. "Not really," he confessed, scratching his head lightly. "I'm kinda nervous about it." His admission hinted at the weight of the responsibility resting on his shoulders.
"Oh, come on, no need to worry. You'll be an excellent king," I reassured Caspian with a smile, hoping to ease his nerves.
As we reached our designated spot, marked by a majestic tree at its center, a grin stretched across my face upon spotting the Pevensies already gathered elegantly at one side. On the opposite end stood Aslan, Trumpkin, Doctor Cornelius, Reepicheep, and the badger.
As Caspian stepped forward to position himself in front of the attentive crowd of Telmarines, I joined the Pevensies, slipping in between Edmund and Lucy. The girl silently moved aside, creating a space for me to stand between them.
"Didn't know you two were already close," Ed whispered, his voice audible only to me, while we both remained facing forward.
"Not really, but I planned on getting along with him," I responded with a shrug, my gaze fixed ahead, choosing not to turn toward him.
